You can upload pictures to the new profiles now.

Add an Image block and put up to three pictures side by side, up to 400px tall. GIFs stay animated, which is how a Britney Spears GIF ended up on my profile. You can also upload a banner from Style, and any block can drop its frame and header so the picture is the only thing there.

Uploading pictures is getting harder across the web. Imgur doesn't load in the UK anymore, so a lot of profiles here are full of broken Imgur links for players there. We're nowhere near Imgur's size (good!), and we trust you, so your pictures can live here now. Each one gets shrunk when you upload it so it loads fast. Pictures can be up to 3 MB after that, or 10 MB with a Gold Account.

The new profiles are where I'm spending my time. There are cursors, drifting shapes like snow and bats and hearts, preset looks to start from, and fonts and colors you can change in a couple of clicks. If you want to go further, the profile help page lists the CSS classes for every block. I really want to see what you all make with them.

If you haven't switched yet, turn on Use the new profile layout on your preferences page. Your old profile stays saved, so you can switch back whenever you want. I'm going to keep adding to these, and I just think they're cool.

Pets talk a lot more now when you feed them, read to them, or play with them. There are a bunch of new lines, and some of them depend on what’s going on: a pet that was starving, a food they’ve never had before, a toy that’s an old favorite, or a book that just earned them an alchemy point.

You can write your own lines too! Go to your pets, open a pet, and pick Edit Sayings. You get up to five lines each for eating, reading, and playing. Put {item} in a line and it turns into the name of the food, book, or toy. Once you’ve written one, you can switch off Subeta’s lines for that section so your pet only says yours.

Other players won’t see your pet’s lines. Keep them friendly, since lines with swears or slurs won’t save.

These came from a suggestion thread, so if you have more ideas for lines for the whole site, post them there!

Today's the last day for the first Archive shelf. At midnight tonight, Subeta time, it gets swapped for 16 new items.

Build your look

Trick-or-treating is better with neighbors, so now you can start a street.

In the Morostide forum, choose "Open this as a neighborhood" when you post a new thread. Name your street (or hit "Try another name" until one makes you laugh), and that's your thread's title. Up to 10 houses can move in. You get to choose whether anyone can move in, or whether they knock first and wait for you to let them in.

Every 15 minutes, each house on the street knocks at the next house down and gets a treat. You don't have to be there for it, and neighborhood knocks are never tricks.

The treat comes from the door of the house you knocked at. Every door hands out its own treats, and that includes older trick-or-treat and Pumpkin Patch items from past years. I'm not telling you which door has what. You'll have to work that out together 🤫.

Every few knocks your house gets pranked shut, and it stops knocking until you write a post in the thread. A real post! What you're enjoying about life. What you aren't! "Reopened!" won't do it, so talk to your neighbors.

Now and then a neighbor drops a garden seed in your bag. It's usually Gourd Witch Informative Seeds, sometimes an older pumpkin seed.

🎃 You can get 30 neighborhood treats a day. The street's owner picks whether a house that's had its 30 goes dark until tomorrow or moves off to make room.
🎃 You can live on 3 streets, or 5 with a Gold Account. If you're on more than one, your house takes turns knocking on each.
🎃 The card at the top of the Morostide forum shows your streets, which of your houses are open, and how many treats you've had today.
🎃 Neighborhoods close with Morostide on November 9.

Are you just coming back for Morostide? A lot has probably changed since you were last here! Here are some of the bigger things from the last few months.

Profiles. The new user profiles are a lot easier to customize and tweak, down to cute 00s-style cursors and falling shapes.

Gardens. Your garden can grow to 10 plots now, and you can even grow pets in it: the Pipaphyta Muscivorus and the Milnesium Fragarius.

The bakery. Fantine's Bakery was rebuilt this week.

Battle. Reischen's Battle Quests have a Hard mode, and Battle Spheres give every pet an RPG-style talent board. Both have been mixing up the strategy and the prizes.

Quests. There are new quest givers, like Fantine's Baking Class and Manwar, and the old ones are moving over to the new quest system. It comes with a lot of small improvements: a few free quits a day, your achievement progress right on the quest, and asks that don't repeat what you just brought.

Subscriptions. Subscriptions moved back to the main site, with yearly plans, PayPal, and gift subscriptions. Subscription Points buy more than items now: a pet slot, an Experiment Pick at the Zapper, a Custom Overlay Voucher, and color or species swaps on the new Pet Swap page.

Forums and cosmetics. Forum groups can post a notice to find new members. You can pick a nameplate and earn reactions from new achievements all around the site.

Even Tubular Tiles is back! 🐢

Tests. We're running a lot of tests right now, so you might already be in one. New features go to a small group of players first, with a short poll attached. The tests page shows what's running, and your feedback decides what changes before a feature reaches everyone.

If things look weird, try turning off your old custom CSS and see if that's the problem. A lot of the issues people used to fix with custom CSS are now fixed in the site's own styles.

Today is the spookiest of days. Why? It’s the start of Morostide!

To start off with, the Lasirus is now available in the wild color. You can purchase a Wild Potion from the Cash Shop.

The gourd witch can’t provide knowledge in a simple way. To get these helpful books, you’ll need to grow the Gourd Witch Informative Seeds in your garden! You can find these seeds in the Pumpkin Patch.

You can only grow these seeds in a Shadowglen Garden.

The Gourd Witch Informative Seeds are not the only new items in the Pumpkin Patch this year.

Okay, I’ve stalled enough. Let’s get to the bread and butter of this treat filled holiday.

Trick or treat is back, and this year your house has a front door. Pick an icon for it (ghost, pumpkin, bat, spider, crow, or one of seven others), and everyone who trick-or-treats at your house gets a treat from that door's pile. Each door hands out different treats, so if you're after a certain one, go find a house with the right door. To pick yours, paint your door here. You can also change it from your profile or after any trick-or-treat. If you never pick one, your door starts out based on the day you joined Subeta.

Tricks are meaner this year. You can still get hexed, but a trick might also repaint your door at random, or swap your door with the house you just knocked on. They'll get an event telling them it was you. A tricked door stays that way for an hour before you can change it back.

Random trick or treat is back too. It sends you to someone who's been on in the last 12 hours, you can go again after 5 minutes instead of the usual 8 to 11, and nobody can trick you on a random visit.

Egging and TPing houses are still around if you want to get even 👿!

Esmerelda's daily contest goes Morostide too. Today she wants you to style the Spiderweb Gown, and each day after that she picks a piece from this year's or an earlier year's Pumpkin Patch and trick-or-treat prizes. You don't have to own the piece, but you do have to own everything else you wear, so be ready to dress up.

🎃 Hang on to your pumpkins. You might need them later. I hear they make great compost.
🎃 Holiday ends November 9. If the spirit of Morostide keeps pulling us along, we might stretch it a little.

Fantine's Bakery has been rebuilt, and starting today everyone has it! Some of you have been baking in it for the last few days as testers, and a lot of what's in it now came straight from your poll and forum answers. Head to the kitchen to take a look, and Fantine's Guide explains everything.

The old bakery gave you one oven, a dropdown for every ingredient, and if you scorched one of Fantine's pans you couldn't bake again until you bought her a new one. That's all different now 🥖.

You get up to four ovens. The second one opens at baking level 5, the third at 10 and the fourth at 20, and each oven runs on its own timer. Fill all ovens puts a recipe in every empty one at once.

The pantry holds your ingredients, and bakes use what's in there before anything in your inventory. You can move a whole stack in at once, and Account Search finds what's in it.

The recipe book sorts every recipe into Ready to bake, Missing a few things, and Higher level, and you can sort it by level, name, fewest missing or least baked. A recipe you can't make yet lists what it needs, with a link to the shop that sells each ingredient, a shop search and an account search.

Every bake that doesn't burn counts toward a ribbon for that recipe, starting at Beginner and going all the way up to Grand Baker at 100 bakes. Your Recipe Journal keeps track, and there's a Baking section you can add to your profile (here's how the profile editor works).

Fantine also buys baked goods now! Her counter is in the Farmer's Market, she'll take up to 20 a day, and the better your ribbon for a recipe, the more she pays for it.

The burn is rolled when you collect, so a finished bake can sit in the oven as long as you like. A scorched pan is an achievement now instead of a lockout. Past level 20, every level makes your bakes a little faster and a little less likely to burn, up to level 50. You can turn on alerts in the kitchen to get an event when an oven finishes, and the bakery is on the Dailies list.

There are ten baking achievements, with prizes that include titles like Flour-Dusted and Head Baker, and two new name plates, Lattice Crust and Oven Glow.

Your baking level and XP came with you, and anything you had in the old oven moved into your first one. Ribbons and the Journal start fresh, because the old bakery never kept track of which recipes you baked.

Ingredients have been the biggest complaint, so the Food Market now restocks baking staples like flour, sugar, butter, milk and eggs as common items, and more ingredients count than before, like plant milks, sanding sugars and nut butters.

She has a quest now too, Fantine's Baking Class! She's outfitting her students, so she asks for two baking tools or pieces of kitchenware. Every quest pays 9 to 13 baking ingredients, four different ones: a staple like flour or eggs, baking powder, baking soda or yeast, and two things recipes ask for by name, like heavy whipping cream or canola oil. The more recipes use an ingredient, the more often she pays it. You can do it 5 times a day, or 8 with a Gold Account, and recipes you're missing things for link straight to her.

The Hustler is gone. No more pop-up at the top of the page trying to sell you something before he wanders off.

In his place is the Archive shelf. Every Monday at midnight, Subeta time, a new shelf goes up with 16 items that used to be in the Cash Shop. Each item has 50 copies, and you can buy each one once a week. You pay in Cash Shop Credits, and the price is 15% less than the item used to cost.

The shelf stays the same all week, so you can take your time with it. The next one goes up Monday, October 26.

There's a poll on the shelf page. Tell us what you'd want to see on it, and what you think of the change!

Another cash shop update: The Chance machines are closed and the items in them have been retired. They'll show up on the shelf, and in the future you'll be able to purchase some of them directly.

The potion lottery has gotten a revamp!

You still win potions from the nightly draw, and winning still gets you the Potion Lottery Winner achievement and the medal. The draw gives out two potions a night now instead of one. You can buy entries for your friends, up to 25 people at a time, so a Potion Lottery bombing still works 😉.

Every entry now has four pets on it too. Pick them yourself or use Quick Pick if you don't care and just want to buy your ticket. Each night the draw picks four pets, and a drawn potion goes to whichever entry on it matched the most pets. Ties are drawn at random, and if nobody on that potion matched a single pet, someone holding it still wins.

Match all four pets and you win the Cauldron. 40% of the sP spent on entries goes into it, and it carries over every night nobody hits it. It's already past 18 million sP and tops out at 60 million. If more than one entry matches all four, they split it.

Entries are 2,500 sP, or 77,500 sP for a MegaTicket on every potion. If your account is at least 30 days old, you also get a free entry every night, with the same chances as a paid one.

You can spend up to 400,000 sP a night on entries. If you want less than that, you can set your own limit or take a break from buying on the lottery page. There are also ten new achievements, and a few of them are for losing in funny ways.

If you were still on the old lottery, tickets you already bought are in tonight's draw.

You may see around the internet that PHP has a critical vulnerability in it, and think "Hey - doesn't Subeta run on PHP?" Yes! It does! As does a massive amount of the internet - any Wordpress or Tumblr and large portions of Facebook use PHP.

This looks like an extremely critical one, and many sites are going down for emergency maintinence.

I've patched our servers with the best information available now, and will patch with the official PHP update when it comes out tomorrow.

If more information comes out about the severity, it's possible I'll have to take the site down entirely until a patch is released, but there will be a downtime message explaining that if it's the case.

Your pets and accounts are safe, we have backups, and would only go offline to ensure someone couldn't run code against the site.

I've been having fun making name plates (with CSS! because I can do that!). We have really talented people here who make beautiful things, and the site could always use more of them.

I tried a few versions of the Studio before this one. Where it landed: make what you think would be fun on the site, and I'll do my best to match it to an achievement, new or old.

Those are two reactions players drew, Morty King: Idea! by Ozo and Louis Lamour: Congrats! by Merlin. I'd love more like them.

In the Reaction Studio you pick a character, pick an emotion from the list or make up your own, and draw it as a 64x64 PNG. Sketchy is good, since they're tiny in the reaction bar. An accepted reaction goes on the Cosmetics page with your name on it and pays 250 Cash Shop Credits.

I also tried to help you think through some emotions!


The Border Studio is for avatar borders, which frame your headshot everywhere on the site and go to the top achievements. The bar is higher there, and most will be turned down. The border has to be transparent so the avatar fits inside, with no white edge around the outside. An accepted border pays 500 Cash Shop Credits, and it has your name on it too.

The rest of the rules are on the Studio page. If yours is turned down we'll do our best to give you a good reason why.

The forums were running on a pile of technology that had grown together over more than a decade. Three whole UI libraries loaded on every forum page: a very old version of "Semantic UI", a 2017 beta of Bootstrap 4, and Handlebars for a groups page the new Groups replaced. Three icon sets were in use at once, often on the same page, and also sometimes just emoji. Under all that was a stylesheet that had grown to 1,800 lines, THREE (!!!) thread readers that never went anywhere and couldn't be turned on anymore, a results page for a search engine we stopped running 4 years ago, and a few test pages.

That's all gone from the forums. Last week I moved the site's own icons onto one set, and this week I rebuilt every forum page on Subeta's own styles, so the forums use the same cards, buttons and colors as the rest of the site, in every theme and in dark content mode. A post is a card with the colored bar on top (purple is an official post, red is a highlighted one), your avatar still has its column, and every action on a post is a real icon with a label. Topic lists show small flags for locked, sticky, answered, you've posted here, and unread. The reply box keeps its options beside the editor, moving a topic opens a dialog, the search box on the forum index is a search box, and everything sits a little in from the edge now. Phones keep the compact layout.

If you style the forums with custom CSS: anything that targeted the old `.ui` classes (`.ui.segment`, `.ui.label`, `.ui.grid`, `.ui.message` and friends) no longer matches anything on forum pages. The hooks that are still there are `.post-container`, `.post-bar`, `.post`, `.post-body`, `.user.details`, `.forum-avatar`, `.forum_signature`, `.stats` and `.breadcrumb`. The topic list is `.topic-list` and the nav is `.forum-nav`.

The Feedback forum is back 🫣. It closed in May because the forums had slowed down and I wanted to combine as much as possible, so Suggestions & Ideas carried everything at once: real suggestions, staff threads asking what you think, and reactions to things that had just changed. Feedback is its own forum again. I read every one. It doesn't always get a reply, and a note is not a vote. All of my feedback threads are going there now, too!

The three boards share a page now: User-powered. It shows what's being built right now, what got built from a suggestion, what got fixed from a bug report, what staff are asking for feedback on, and what changed because of a note, each with the name of the player who posted it.

I am (and the staff are) really working hard to make sure that threads get categorized correctly and moved around. I can't get to everything!

So: make the suggestion. Report the bug, papercuts included. Post the feedback. Be nice to each other, make a friend on the new Friends page, and stick a sticker on someone.

And remember, when you see that huge number of bugs fixed and suggestions implemented that you can get a subscription to make sure we can keep doing it 💖

There are people on my friends list here on Subeta that I've been talking to for more than 20 years, and I've even slept at their houses!! Adding someone as a friend makes it a lot easier to stay in touch, so I spent some time on the Friend Feed and the Friends page.

Your own updates show up in your feed. When you change your status or make a new pet, you'll see it in your Friend Feed next to everyone else's, marked "Your friends see this." The "from" filter has a Just me option if you want to look at only your own.

When a friend makes a pet and then uses a color potion on it the same day, those are one entry with one picture now. A day of new avatar looks shows up as a single strip of snapshots instead of a big card for each one. Each day has its own tab.

Some players share their big moments with everyone, not just their friends. A few of those now show up in your feed with an Around Subeta stamp, which is a nice way to find someone new. Pick Friends only in the "from" filter to hide them, or Around Subeta to see only those.

If you'd like yours to show up for everyone, there's a Share my big moments button at the top of the feed. It shares new pets, pet colors, achievements, birthdays, and contest entries, and it earns you the Say Cheese achievement. Nothing else you share changes, and you can turn any of them off in Sharing settings.

Everyone has the new Friends page now. It loads a lot faster, because avatars load as you scroll instead of all at once. You can sort by last online, and anyone who's been around in the last 15 minutes gets a little dot on their avatar. Friend requests show the newest first, along with how many friends you have in common.

People you might know is back. It suggests friends of your friends, starting with the people you have the most friends in common with, and it names a couple of the friends you share. Add someone with one click, or click the x if you'd rather not see them there.

If there's someone you keep running into on the forums or in the shoutbox, add them. Subeta really is a great place to make friends!!

Subscriptions used to live on new.subeta.net. They're back home now at subeta.net/cs/subscribe.php, and I added a lot while I was moving them.

Pay yearly or with PayPal. Every plan now has a yearly option, priced at 10 months. Yearly plans still pay out your rewards once a month. You can also pay with PayPal now, monthly or yearly.

Give a subscription. You can buy someone 1, 3 or 12 months of any plan. You pay once and nothing renews. Pick a friend from your list, add a message, and leave your name off if you'd like. If they already subscribe, the gift starts when their subscription ends.

Changing plans. You can switch tiers on the subscribe page without canceling first. The new plan starts at your next renewal, and nothing extra is charged that day.

If you subscribed through the old system, your subscription keeps working as it always has. When you're ready, the subscribe page can move it to a card or PayPal. Your first charge on the new plan lands on the day you would have renewed anyway, and from then on you can change tiers or pay yearly.

Renewal messages. Every renewal now sends you a message listing what came with it and when you renew next. If you cancel, you keep your perks through the end of the time you paid for. If you pay by card, you can change your mind and keep the plan any time before then.

More for Goddess. Goddess now earns 2 Subscription Points a month instead of 1.

More in the Subscription Shop. Your points still buy the monthly items from every past month, like these:

• An Experiment Pick, for 2 points. You choose which experiment your pet becomes at the Pet Zapper, and you still pay the zap.
• A Custom Overlay Voucher, for 2 points
• A color swap or a species swap, for 1 point each, spent on the new Pet Swap page. These work with the regular species and colors.

Fewer daily chores. Subscribers get free autotraining days every month: 5 for Quester, 10 for Councilor and 20 for Goddess. You also get extra free autopricer runs: 1 more per shop each day for Quester, 3 for Councilor, and as many as you like for Goddess. Gold Accounts get a Train all button at the Training Center, too.

I'm collecting ideas for more perks in this thread, so tell me what you'd want.

Tests and polls. New features now go to a small group of players first, with a short poll attached, and the tests page shows what's running right now. More than a thousand of you have answered those polls so far. Your answers decide what changes before a feature reaches everyone, and I really appreciate every one of them.

I know money is tight for almost everyone right now. Prices keep going up, and a subscription is an easy thing to cut. Subscriptions are the one part of our income we can plan around. When I know what's coming in each month, I know how much art I can commission and how much work I can ask of the team. Every subscriber stretches that budget further, and if it takes adding more to the plans to get there, I'm happy to.

If a subscription fits in your month, it goes straight into art and new things on the site, and the support page shows where. If it doesn't fit right now, that's okay. Thank you for being here either way.

Battle Spheres are back for another "season"! Every battle pet has a sphere of passive talents that fire on their own in battle. Your pet earns points from its stats, you spend them on a board, and reset is free.

Season 5 runs from today through November 11. The board has reset, so every pet starts fresh, and Season 4 builds are archived.

The big new system is called marks. With an affinity in your choices, your Hex leaves its element on the opponent, and hitting it with the right second element sets off a reaction. This should be fun to play around with! There are new achievements too, with three new name plates among the prizes.

Reischen's Battle Quests now offer Normal or Hard every day. On Hard, the opponent gets an edge: an archetype, which is its own sphere build plus a signature move. Archetypes rotate daily and are picked per opponent, so everyone fighting that opponent sees the same one, and the quest page shows you the build before you fight. A Hard win pays double quest EXP and a scroll reagent roll, and a loss doesn't use up the quest.

Every number, every new tile, and the Season 4 fixes are in the full patch notes on the forums. Thanks to whyrl, Wesker, ColdDragon, Jigglypuff, and METROID for the ideas behind a lot of this season. That thread is still where I'm collecting feedback, so tell me what breaks (even if it means I have to nerf your favorite build)!

I promise if this seems too complicated, at the core it's just a set of bonuses that make your pet stronger, without you needing to do anything. There are other players in the forums who will tell you what build to make your pet to get the most free extra damage for your pets 💖

Every page on Subeta loads a stack of code libraries before it shows you anything. A library is a chunk of someone else's code you load so you don't have to write it yourself, and a lot of ours are more than ten years old. Some of them are only used on one or two pages, but they load on every page you visit, phone and data plan included.

I'm clearing them out. Before compression, every page still loads about 1.1 MB of this old code. This week about 200 KB of it came off every page:

• Handlebars, twice. Version 4.0.6 (2016) and version 2.0.0-alpha.4 (2014) both loaded, the older one second, so it overwrote the newer one. Nothing on the site used either of them.
• lodash 4.17.2 (2016) and jquery.touch, also unused.

qTip came off the 26 explore map pages too, where it never drew a single... qTip?

Modalbox, a popup window library from 2007, is gone as well. Popups now use the browser's own dialog element. If you saw an empty popup box sitting on every page recently, that was this work (sorry!)

Icons changed too. The site was drawing them from three different sets: Font Awesome 4, Semantic UI's icon font, and Bootstrap 2's glyphicons. Now every icon comes from one set, Font Awesome's Sharp Duotone, so they finally match each other. A few of the old glyphicon spots were drawing nothing at all and show their icons now. Expect some icons to look a little different while we adjust sizes and colors around the site.

Still loading on every page:

• Prototype 1.7.0 (2010) and script.aculo.us 1.8.1 (2008). They're in the oldest code history we have, from 2010. Prototype is the biggest script on the page at 205 KB. It's honestly impressive that we are still including these.
• Tipped (2014), which draws the hover cards on items and users, and can be replaced by browser defaults now.
• jQuery 3.2.1 and Bootstrap 4.0.0-beta.2, both from 2017. Yes, a beta. We never moved to the final release.
• Semantic UI 0.19.3 (2014). Its stylesheet is 340 KB, bigger than any script on the page.
• Font Awesome 4.6.3 (2016). The site's own icons don't use it anymore, but pet profiles and some custom CSS do, so it stays for now 😭

Most of what these libraries do is built into browsers now. Finding things on the page, fades and slides, and loading data without a refresh have been built in for years, over ten for some of it. Popups only made it into every browser in 2022, and hover popovers in 2023. Every library I swap for the built-in version is code you don't have to download, and your browser doesn't have to run it before the page works. That should make the site feel faster, especially on a phone. And don't worry, I'm going to build in graceful fallback for these, if your browser doesn't have them, but fallback that still use best practices and weren't made in 2010.

The catch is that every page has to be moved over by hand, so for a while some things might look a little off, like a button that's the wrong size or a popup with odd spacing. If something looks broken, post the page link in the forums and I'll take a look.

You might have noticed some other players around the site have fun effects on their usernames, and you can too! Update your nameplate here and change how your username is displayed around the site.

You'll notice there are some 🎃 locked ones 🎃 that you might be able to earn soon.

Tubular Tiles has been dead since 2018. The database that held its layouts lived on an old server that went away, and with no layouts there was no game. It's been sitting on the games page with a "temporarily unavailable" sign for seven years, which is a very generous definition of temporarily. (The classic Subeta 🔜)

I rebuilt it. Same tiles, same music 😴, all nine layouts, and it's live right now at /games/tubular_tiles/.

Classic is the mode you remember, with a better deal: your first 15 wins a day pay 15,000 sP each, up from 10 wins at 10,000. Hints add 30 seconds and shuffles add a minute to your time, so use them when you're stuck, not as a strategy.

Free Play has no timer and no payout. Hints, shuffles, and undo are free. Just the tiles and the music.

Daily Turtle is new. Everyone gets the same board each day, your first run is ranked and pays 15,000 sP, and just after midnight the three fastest clears win 50,000, 30,000, and 20,000 sP. If your run is suspiciously fast, it gets a quick look from staff before it pays, so don't panic if yours says it's waiting.

Every board can be cleared now. The old game dealt tiles at random, so sometimes the board was unwinnable from the first move and the shuffle button was the only way out. You can also play the whole thing on the keyboard: H for hint, S for shuffle, U for undo, P for pause.

Gimme Some Fin still counts your Classic wins, and there are five new achievements on the page. Go clear some turtles. 🐢

👋 Reminder!! I'm testing new user profiles ("V3") (check out mine for an example) that are easier to edit and customize. If you've got a custom profile it might take a little longer to translate to the new system, but there is a helpful guide here that walks through the new CSS techniques.

You can provide feedback in the survey on the preferences page, and this thread.

Even if you haven't edited your profile in years, the default is a lot more modern (or, 2022 at least) and you might even want to give it a little tweak!

Manwar is focusing hard on becoming a tabletop influencer, and needs a few things for his next podcast! Bring him podcast gear, video games, or a wig, and he'll pay you in sP and a trading card.

We've added 47 NPC trading cards, which you can only earn through Manwar's quest and trading card booster packs.

Manwar gives you one rarity 1-99 trading card per quest. There's a 20% chance he'll pick from the cards you haven't collected; the other 80% draws from the full pool, with less rare cards coming up more often. If you've already collected the older cards, the missing-card picks will be new ones. Once you've collected every rarity 1-99 card, every draw uses the full pool.

Cards in your inventory or vault don't count as collected, so remember to add them to your trading card collection. There are three new achievements, and every fifth completed quest earns you a QuestPoint.

The autumn scents of pumpkin, cinnamon, and rain are here to stay. You may have noticed the Millionaire Center and Seasonal Quest Shop changed over to autumn on October 1. Well, now there are new autumn items in the Millionaire Shop!

If you remember, there were a few issues with the Millionaire Center at the start of summer, so we never added summer themed items to it. While the shop has already moved on to autumn, we did add two new summer themed items to the summer tab. We're sorry these are late, but how comfy does that resort pillow look?

With it being the weekend, we will not release the new October monthly collection until Monday. You may have noticed in previous months when the 3rd lands over a weekend we tend to push it. We will also have the new subscription item added on Monday as well!

We're testing a new feature in shops where the shopkeeper will Set Aside rare and sought after items for you, that'll appear at the top of particular shops.

While we're testing this, every six hours you'll have a new choice between three items in the Freyalise, and just five minutes to choose! These might change for other shops in the future.

These items are shown to only you, and other shopkeepers will even give you a reminder if you've got items set aside for you somewhere else.

Build your look

The site has all three of these filed under food, along with about 11,000 other items, and it has never known which ones you'd drink.

So there's a new page in Help: Food or Drink?. It shows you one item at a time and you click what it is: food, dessert, drink, wearable (there are boleros in the foods, of course), or other. For a drink you also say whether it looks like it has alcohol in it. One click sorts it and brings up the next one.

Each item pays 1,000 sP, up to 100 a day, and each item pops up once per person. When a couple of people agree on an item it's settled, and the settled drinks are the list that we'll pull from around the site.
