Generic blarb about who I am
I'm Lyra, 34 years old and I hail from Tampere, Finland! Been on Subeta since 2012 and visit from time to time. All of my pets are Jollin, Kumos or Telenine (tho I conduct Zapper tests on occasion on a single pet), and they are all adopted. Been meaning to rename some of them but it's a process.

For a generic description about me, here are some specs regarding my personality (if that means anything to you): ESTP (MBTI) - 7w8 (enneagram) - Chaotic Neutral lol (but I'm a Chaotic Good fangirl!)

Now, for a more meaningful intro (let's utilize this rambly feeling). I speak a few languages, my best ones are Finnish (obviously), English, Swedish, Japanese and Czech (in that order). You could call me a bit of a language geek. I love reading about yokai, mysterious entities that appear in Japanese folk tales - so I collect minions and other random stuff that relates to the subject. :D Other than that, I like wandering in nature (which occasionally escalates to hiking or rock climbing) and observing wild animals. Oh, and memes and zombie games (atm Days Gone is MASSIVELY good. And ofc I have to mention my all-time favourite, State of Decay 2). I live with my boyfriend and cat (Mei-Mei). Mei-Mei is 14, half British Shorthair and half standard issue cat, torbie, occasional wailing banshee, rest of the time she's a spoonful of sugar. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll probably die on some mountain, or kayaking, while eating something or drinking beer and laughing. Or laughing to death at a sushi buffet with my best friends. And that is fine by me, these are excellent ways to go. Does that say something about me? Guess it reveals that I tend to do a lot of things at once, get distracted very easily (meds help a little with that, but I tend to forget them), am often laughing (despite crippling anxiety issues) and love my friends to death.

Tributes
I've been lucky enough to have been able to meet two dogs who are now part of my angel squad, Mila and Maximillian. Maximillian was an 8 year old Beagle that we got when his previous owners found that he was not adapting to their new family dynamic (involving a baby). He was stubborn and very food-motivated. Once he stole a bag of flour and ate it in his basket. facepalm But I remember our time together fondly still. He lived a few months past his 14th birthday.

Mila was a rescue dog from Russia, she was about a year and a half when I got her. She looks like a standard issue Russian dog, their mixes probably include Laika and German Shepherd, percentages may vary. Mila definitely had a German Shepherd triple coat going on, and she was primarily my dog, even though she was co-operative with others. When I got her, I was 18 and unable to think realistically. Her description said "Mila has a lot of love to give to a home that will not mind her shedding". Nowadays the rescue organizations write more informative descriptions, but I made the decision purely on intituition and cuteness factor. I still cringe thinking about it. Things could've gone so very wrong... Some people say their dogs are their "heart dog" or "soulmate dog" or whatever. I don't know if I believe that but Mila was and still is a part of me that I didn't know was missing. Within 15 minutes of meeting, she laid down close to me and fell asleep. She enjoyed long walks in the forest, naps on the couch (with Mei-Mei cuddled up to her), and hanging out with her squad (us). When she was young, she was quite hyperactive and even hypervigilant, I came to believe she was a sensitive type. As she got older, she calmed down significantly and got compliments from strangers about how "well-trained" and chill she was. I didn't really do anything. She learned everything she needed to from gentle guidance, I put in the minimum effort. After a year and a half, it's still hard to write about her. She passed a bit before she turned 16. I'll always love her - I think that'll be the case even when I'm old enough for my memory to truly start failing me.

Other places where I'm active
I have a few tumblrs that I use quite sporadically these days. This is my "aesthetic" sideblog, so to speak. Not sure what it is at this point. My main personal is this one and I'd guess it's pretty representative of what kinda stuff I'm interested in. I recommend the archive view!
