Bendy_Demon![]() Profile to Profile | $0DC is a little over 100 F here..that IS hot!!! I wanna make something but not sure what. Yet. Around here it is supposedly going to start cooling off in a couple of days which is great because then I can have the windows open as it gets SO stuffy in here. Maybe one of these days i will make some chocolate brownies or something as I have nothing sweet around! Bummer! |
Bendy_Demon![]() Profile to Profile | Yes! Planet Kitty-Cat! I think I'd get along better on a planet ruled by cats than humans! It is strange but I really do not like having bare arms for the most part..it just feels odd to me, even now as I type I am wearing my first poncho (it did not turn out as I hoped) even though it is about 21C in here (about 70 degrees F) and for the most of the summer I slept with a flannel sheet and a thin quilt but then again the colder air from the air conditioning sinks down into my apartment so it is cooler in here than upstairs which I don't mind BUT I will be happier once the fall sets in and the outside air is cooler so I can have my windows open and cool the lace naturally. Heck I don't even really like wearing shorts either unless I am using them to sleep in but for the most part I wear sweats or thin jeans. |
Bendy_Demon![]() Profile to Profile | Sadly far too many people keep falling for the same scam because they don't seem to recognize the pattern that is used to perpetuate hysteria. Sometimes I just wanna go to another planet... As for the poncho I do already have one that reaches below my fingertips but someday I want to make another one but this time I want it to be a bit more drapey which means at a certain point I need to stop doing increase stitches and just focus on making it longer PLUS I need to use a heavier weight yarn too. |
Bendy_Demon![]() Profile to Profile | I suspect it is all contrived, create an artificial shortage to drive up prices; this same tactic was done in the U.S on the early 1900's if I recall my history. The government even ordered farmers to kill of their herds and bury the meat and same with dairy farmers, forced them to dump thousands of gallons of valuable milk for the sole reason of creating a shortage and forcing panic buying. Then there was the constant threat of supposed cow and pig flu which forced farms to once more kill of their livestock because supposedly one animal 'may' have been sick but it is coming out that this was almost completely fabricated. Now..in a feeble attempt to keep the cow/pig flu scam alive some idiot official claimed they have, for the first time even, found a ant with the pig flu virus. Seriously? Just how stupid do they think we all are? Anywhoo I am working on a new poncho...actually it is a sort of trial to see how I like it as I wanted to make a cloak but thought I could adapt my poncho pattern for that but it is harder than I thought so I am trying a new pattern. |
Bendy_Demon![]() Profile to Profile | I haven't eaten at a pizza place in years as they are usually skimpy on the ingredient and teh pizza ends up being mostly crust. At one point Pizza Hut actually bragged about their artificial cheese which did not go over well with their customers. In one place, I think it was Papa Murphy's the guy preparing the pizza was diligently measuring out the exact number of pepperoni (sausage) and measuring out the amount of cheese too and this really irked my dad so that was the last time we had a pizza from an eatery or store. He then would make a couple of pizza crusts from scratch, bake them then freeze them for later. Of course ingredients were a little cheaper a few years ago too. Less than ten years ago 85 dollars bought a lot of fruit and veggies along with the milk and some chicken, now days that same 85 dollars buys so little. 8 to 12 dollars for a pound of ground beef? Nuh-uh....8 dollars for a 2 pound block of generic colby cheese? Pass...In my case I have exceedingly little income so I have to budget my money so it pays to shop wisely. |
