For some reason, I have a lot of wood laying around, and when an industrious guy like me gets to thinking, it\'s only a matter of time until I come up with a show stopper like this. Now, granted, I\'m not the best cook in the world, but that\'s sure to improve with time, right? Right? Not to mention, delivery pizza is one of the only businesses in the world where the storefront\'s tenuous grasp on reality isn\'t a major issue.

What a lovely day it's been. We hope you've been enjoying it! Certainly the pizza part, am I right? I think the artists were eating pizza whilst they were creating these new scribble pets. They probably had to use their feet to make them to keep themselves from getting cheese all over the special pet-making equipment.
Say HI! to the new scribble lain, noktoa, neela and bumbus! A few of the old scribble pets have had a little update too. Because we are getting real good at using our feet to create things.
OH HEY, we just found these guys hiding in the back of the stationery cupboard. They were having some kind of large dinosaur/dragon meeting involving crayons,but hushed up pretty quick when we came in. The scribble mahar grabbed everything around him very quickly. The revamped scribble rreign started revving up her burninator. The scribble bhakoru just smiled with its cold soulless eyes. Gulp.

We\'ve been having a great time behind the scenes here, how have you guys been holding up? Are your feet covered in band-aids yet? Maybe the new steamwork velosotor can kiss them better for you. The steamwork warador has had a slight upgrade; his mecha feet could not be saved with anything from the medicine cabinet.
The Masquerade Ball will be ending tomorrow night. Until then, the time between dances has been decreased!

Did you ever wonder who was compiling all of those research notes on last year's monthly battle challengers?
Well, it was this somewhat... eccentric scientist! Word is that she's just finished up her studies and is now hard at work on a serum that combines all of her subjects' most dangerous and powerful abilities. She keeps muttering something about "super soldiers" and "defending Subeta from threats." Honestly, we're a bit nervous about where this could be heading -- could you go over to the Battle Coliseum and make sure it's all on the up and up?
Note: If you unlocked all 12 of last year's monthly challengers, visit the Challenge an Opponent page for a free copy of the Research File Cabinet, which unlocks the Mad Scientist!
If you missed out on any of those challengers but would like to battle the Mad Scientist, you can buy the Research File Cabinet in the Cash Shop.
The Mad Scientist is a Tier 10 opponent (approximately).

A new bug has been discovered on the internet, called the Heartbleed Bug. The basic idea is that it allowed hackers to steal information from servers that you thought were protected behind a secure (https) connection. That information could include usernames, passwords, credit card information, or anything that you've submitted in a form. Over 2/3 of the servers on the internet use OpenSSL which is the library that this bug was found in.
Subeta is safe. We're fortunate to be protected by cloudflare who was alerted to this bug a week before it became public, and has already patched it. It's very unlikely that any of your information has been stolen from Subeta.
Unfortunately there are a lot of sites that hadn't fixed their implemention of openSSL when the information was made public. This includes some google services, yahoo mail, imgur, and other sites that most of us use daily.
It's our suggestion that you change your passwords everywhere, including Subeta. Before you change your password on a website, check it here to ensure that it's no longer a threat. If you change your password and the site is still unsafe, you could be submitting your password to hackers again!
OpenSSL put out a patch as soon as the bug was made public, and most sites have already begun to patch and fix their servers. Most major sites on the internet have already been patched. You can read more about the bug here. Thank you, and stay safe on the internet! :heart:

Pleasant day, friends. Isn\'t looking for Vesnali eggs fun? I was able to find mine very quickly with the help of my neela steed. This time, I chose to ride the new glade neela. Isn\'t it beautiful? Or perhaps your eyes are drawn to the glade noktoa that has followed us along. Sometimes I just can\'t keep those birds away!

Good morning, Subetans. We bring you some urgent news from the Vesnali celebrations. It seems that over the past week there have been some odd disturbances at Esther\'s greenhouse, but it wasn\'t until today that these minor disruptions escalated into a problem for the wider populace of Subeta.
Some kind of great anyu-like creature that we believe to be called The Tempest is attacking, and doesn\'t seem to be stopping any time soon. We must come together and defeat this beast! Don\'t let it escape, comrades!

Breaking news from the battle front!
It seems like Tempest has retreated from battle for the time being, but she is remaining on Subetan soil and only seems to be recharging. It\'s possible she will attack again; we must be prepared for this outcome!
I\'ve conducted interviews with The Elemental Mage and am told that until the Sylphs also disappear, it\'s unlikely that Tempest herself is going to be truly defeated.
More updates will be provided as they come in. Stay safe, Subeta!

News update!
After many gruelling hours of battle, Subetans came together to defeat the Tempestuous Beast in a brilliant display of skill and perseverance. Well done, everybody! Particularly our citizens Mike and Eric who dealt the final blow in each round! You can now go back to your usual Vesnali celebrations - how about visiting Esther’s Shop, the very place where this all began! Just make sure to take your rain gear with you, we seem to be having some unusual rainy weather...

We hope you’ve been enjoying the Vesnali festivities. Sadly we expect the April showers will be ending tonight, so make sure you finish any part of the plot you are missing as well as giving those last few flowers to your friends.  Esther’s shop will be staying open year long, however we will be retiring items from 2009-2011 on May 15th so I strongly suggest grabbing any items you need from those sections first!

The offers of friendship worked! Tempest is happy again. It turns out The Great Tempest is actually a great big softie, and she absolutely THRIVES on company. She would love to visit you from time to time, on random occasions - but if she doesn’t discharge that electrical energy first she won’t be able to get near anybody! So I’ve helped her out a little by providing her with a special bottle that she can filter a portion of her energy into. The thing is, if you were to use this energy on certain pets, it will imbue them with the power of the Tempest!
Look at that! The bottle of Tempest’s energy has become a Storm Potion. And right now it is affecting the wyllop, kumos, escalade, aeanoid, anyu, fester, kanis, warador and popoko. I’m sure over time it will affect even more pets!
If you’re lucky enough to be visited by Tempest, she may grant you a storm potion of your own. Or maybe another storm-infused item!
Oh, and if you have been keeping up with the events, you may notice a Tempest Lightning Rod In your possession (among other things). This is a special item I created for the possibility you’d like to immediately summon Tempest to you. It only works once, however!
Now I need to get back to my hut, things to do! And Tempest seems delighted with her new friends, so I think it’s all ended up working out.
Tempest smiles again, and then takes four great paces into the sky, fading as she does so. Her time on Subeta has certainly been eventful. Hopefully you can see her again one day soon!
Note: the Tempest random event is an interactive one. As such, just refreshing over and over again to get it won't work, as you may miss it!

The Tempest has donated a small collection of her new potion to the Token Shop, as part of a promotion for her new color. This localized storm is expected to drizzle overnight and into tomorrow! We\'re looking forward to those May flowers that are right around the corner.
In equally pleasing news, after years of poor behavior, the Rotten Rogue has taken a page from the Tempest\'s change of heart. She can no longer go on with her chosen profession, and is stepping down as our resident pickpocket. Your inventories can rest much more easily from now on.
