He's the reason I always take out travel insurance when traveling with the best medical coverage possible.

Korea was cheap in that respect but you just never know when traveling so it's good to have a safety net.

Take care of yourself love, it does one no good to be stubborn when it's about health!

I haven't been on in ages but I signed in to see how you were doing and saw your status, are you doing okay??

Didn't even leave a mark. Because the wound was on the face and nose they got a plastic surgeon to do it. This happened in Seoul, South Korea, and I have to say their surgeons are amazing!

Dude the Pharmacist at the counter was so flustered seeing him she immediately called her boss. An older man with a head full of white hair. He literally stared my dad down ordering him to the hospital next door. It was amazing 🤣🤣🤣

But yes I lost my mind because the wound was right next to his eye but they tested him head to toe and he was fine. Nothing serious thankfully but the entire trip from that point was just us forcing him to go for check-ups. He suddenly was very interested in random tours and museums around the country and very far away from the hospital lol!

About a million years ago we where on a trip and he fell flat on his face.

You'd think that was funny but for a man over 60 it's dangerous. All I saw was blood everywhere! I had to drag him, LITERALLY DRAG him to the nearest hospital. Fought me the entire way and even then at the door of the hospital he took a left and went to the adjacent pharmacy.

So imagine an older gentleman. His white button shirt now splattered with blood, face so messed up you can see the inside of his nose from the outside and actively bleeding all over the counter. This guy calls the shocked pharmacist over and says "Hey, do you have a band aid?"

I nearly had an aneurism 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I still reminded him of the reply a full decade later. The pharmacist looked him dead in the eyes and said "no, we don't have band aids. This entire pharmacy doesn't carry any band aids. GO. TO. THE. HOSPITAL!"

And finally dragged to the ER successfully!

He needed 16 stitches on his face but thankfully no internal damage. We ended up arguing each and every time he had an check-up for that trip because he hurt his hand and was refusing to admit it lol. I ended up lying each and every time saying this was the appointment to remove the stitches to get him there 🤭

Yeah, he only mentioned that his leg hurt "a bit" afterwards. Of course knowing my dad his "a bit" means a normal person would be screaming in the ER by that point. I don't know why he insisted on the macho act! Jeeez

I'm just glad they caught it and that it didn't move. My dad got one a few years back and we almost lost him right then and there.
