Chrysariel![]() Profile to Profile | I did injections on my shoulder. I was scared, but they were not terrible and they did help for awhile. But they wouldn't give me more than three spaced out over 9 or 10 months. I did physical therapy too. It helped some but not enough. I just did not want to do surgery. The odds of healing were not good enough to warrant all the risks. So I'm living with it. Just really wish the bicep and elbow would heal. But I seem to be doing something to them every time that just sets them back. Hopefully it will all heal eventually. Just ugh right now. |
Chrysariel![]() Profile to Profile | Thank you so much! I got them. Cute. Appreciate the discount too! <3 Here's an edited version of what I told my friend about the arm: I have a torn rotator cuff in the left shoulder that I've done everything but surgery. And that will take nearly a year of PT and pain to get over, and that is hopeful. MAYBE get a 70% full recovery. I don't want that. So I'm just living with it. I might have told you about that, been well over a year now. The other shoulder had one too a decade ago and really didn't heal right but I truly don't have much prob with it, which is one reason I just wanted to let the other one eventually heal on its own. But of course I'm much older now and have arthritis everywhere. All the strength I had seeped away over time without my permission. Ha? A few weeks ago, maybe a month - not sure - I pulled both bicep muscles, aggravated the torn rotator cuffs, and pulled my right elbow just trying to bring in a far too heavy package that had been delivered. If I had known what it was going to cost me I would have opened it on the porch and brought it in piecemeal. I had griped before about Wal-Mart putting all heavy stuff in one pkg. Told them several times not to. Esp with no handle or whatever to grab. Ugh. Anyway, the left arm is much better but the right just freaking hurts all the way down. My doctor gave me muscle relaxers and told me to take Tylenol, and sometimes that at least takes the edge off. But most of the time I just can't sleep at all. It aches really sharp, and whenever I forget and try to pull or push anything, my elbow really screeches. Guess this isn't going away anytime soon. Humpf. So tired of it! But really, I knew I shouldn't have tried that. It was stupid. Sigh |
