Toby and Cordelia could be considered rescues even if I got them from my brother. Kelly was on the road and Toby was alone in his backyard. He only saw people when he was fed and watered. Winter was coming on and I decided I'd rather not cross the street in the cold. He was finally part of a family for his last few years. I got Cordelia because Kelly and Maria decided they didn't want her anymore. I had jokingly said I would take her if they didn't want her once and I took her without question. I had her for five years before Debbie decided control meant more than love and used my weakness and grief against me. I'm not excusing myself, but Debbie KNEW how much I loved my dogs.

Hi, I'm not ignoring you. Just not getting my notices at the moment. Yeah, I got most of my dogs from the pound and they were all mixed breeds or plain old mutts. Three were obvious Doxie mixes, Whisper had schnauzer in her, Gypsy looked spaniel, Toby was a chow mix, Charisma was half Westie and half Shi Tzu, Cordelia was 37.5 Shi Tzu, 37.5 Chi (both types), 12.5 Japanese Chin and 12.5 pure old mutts. Coco was pure Papillion and Mimi is pure Pomeranian.. I haven't tested Honey yet but I bet there's poodle in her.
