In Their Own Words: Spotted Hyena (Crocuta Crocuta) from Southern Africa. While there is little concern for the extinction of this particular species, Hyenas are often killed out of fear or hunted as pests. These animals are intelligent and strong, with complex social behaviours and playful natures. My inspiration is to raise awareness of an animal that is often regarded with negativity and suspicion.
