Darn, there goes my idea for my Asperger's Syndrome pet who dreams of becoming a famous hip hop artist.

Congrats on the win. I think you're the first one I've ever heard of who knows the band Red. For me, that's amazing haha. Great work on the profile, and everything.

Pet Spotlight; number-one drama source on Subeta.
Seriously, it's no wonder why I turned all my nominations off. xD
Really, I've seen sooooooo many fucking pets with mental illness, STOP BEING SO EMOTIONAL. ;D
Fuck it's like people LOOK for shit to be ~omg offended~ at, really.

Lavi...Like from D. Gray-Man? I don't no if that's the reference but it made me giggle. I like it's multiple personalities! It just makes it really interesting... and kind of cute in a weird way.

@HellHound Sorry, but "it's fiction" is a pretty weak argument. If this were a story that were openly homophobic or racist, or if it was clearly misrepresenting and offensively portraying a more common disorder such as dyslexia or learning disorders, I don't think anyone would hesitate to label it as offensive even though it was fiction. But you're saying that because this portrays an under-represented and somewhat rare mental disorder that it's okay for the portrayal to be offensive? I'm not the only DID person on Subeta, and even if no one else speaks up I doubt I'm going to be the only person offended or bothered by this.

That logic is sort of fail. It's fiction. Not real. Therefore... there's absolutely no reason for anyone to be offended. :/ I just don't think your comment was really necessary. No need for negative comments on something that should be positive, after all.

@HellHound I feel like I really shouldn't have to explain how a story perpetuating negative stereotypes such as "dark alters" is ableist and offensive to people who actually do have this disorder. Using a mental disorder, any mental disorder, as a plot point because it's horrifying or scary is offensive. It would be just as bad if this were a story about a "crazy violent retard" or an "ax-crazy schizophrenic".

@Persys
Why is it gross and offensive? I think you're reading too much into it, personally. It's not any different than using another mental illness or disease...

Nice pet, but using Dissociative Identity Disorder as some kind of creepy drama-rific plot device is pretty of gross and offensive.
