The Case of the Missing Jewels
As you hurry across the beach to look over the Freyalise Trading Company goods again, you bump into a very unstable and bleary-eyed Mattieu. He hardly looks like himself with wrinkled clothing and messy hair.
"What happened to you?" you ask.
"I wish I knew," he moans as he attempts to straighten his rumpled clothes. "Last night I met Captain Jaques at the Rathskeller Inn to go through his stock and purchase some new jewelry materials--I didn\'t want to pay those ridiculously marked up prices he charges the tourists--and this morning I woke up with the most awful headache. But that\'s not the worst of it. All my money is gone but I\'ve only got a handful of materials!" He glares at the Freyalise. "Those dirty pirates must have gotten me drunk and ripped me off!"
"But there\'s a whole crew of them and just one of me," he says sadly. "Unless--no,I couldn\'t--but, well, I don\'t suppose you be willing to come with me for moral support?
Privately you think he may need you more for physical support than moral, judging by his unsteady gait.

this plot was a pain in the patoot to complete, but i'm happy i completed it all the same... though i probably wouldn't have spent that much time trying so hard if not for mattieu being an absolute cutie. /hank hill voice/ GOT-DANGIT MATTIEU

Why are some people getting angry at those who didn't know he was a male o.o? That's a silly reason to get mad at someone. Heck, at first I thought he was a woman up until just now when I read it then I was like "Oh, he's a dude." I mean he kind of looks like a girl...and we all know jewelry is a girl's best friend XD. But really, people shouldn't get mad at those who were confused c: just enjoy the mini plot.

A. What does it matter what gender an NPC identifies as? I thought Subeta was a little more tolerant. Long hair on a man, and everyone flips out. I hope you don't react this way with real people!
B. There was a point in history where he would have been considered normal in appearance and we would have been burned at the stake for being "witches" based on how we dressed now. He has a very classic historical look to him.
Enjoy the plot, drop your preconceived notions of gender, please. >.>

Kelzca: I tried soaking it in water but it just gave me a normal sponge, not sure how to trigger it.
I thought the capsule one was to do with those halloween capsules but I've soaked a couple and nothing happened. :x So confused.
I think +3 refers to the Sponge Capsule (like 
).

I cant even get started. I visited the galley 3 times and then the sable smithy and nothing happens

How do you actually get it started? I'm sure I could figure out the clues but I'm not entirely sure how to get the ball rolling
I've got the first two. I have an idea to what the third is alluding, but not sure how to get it. After that, I'm stumped.
I tried buying things with the word 'bucket', 'water', 'sponge', and 'soap' and combining the at the Genetech Lab but no such luck.
