@misskass There doesn't need to be any achievements, but yes there is one. If you collect the 8 area birds for Rosemary, you'll get the achievement with a bird bath. This is just meant to be a cute daily for people to get some birds (because apparently we have a lot of bird lovers, according to the item suggestion threads haha), nothing too serious!
So are there any achievements for this quest or anything? It seems relatively pointless at the moment...

@Just_Call_Me_Tracy It's okay if you miss it, it'll pop up again! (I was testing it yesterday when I put up the message and every few pages my bird would show up :))
I'm not getting the achievement for completing one of these quests: is there something i have to do?
Aww, the bird she asked for is one I see in my backyard all the time :) That brought a smile to my face to see it here.

There is now a message on the page where Rosemary asks you to go find a bird that will make it a bit more clear as to what you should be doing. The message says:
You can find the birds yourself by navigating Subeta - in some cases, the birds name will indicate it is likely to be found in a certain area! When you see it floating, click on it and it will appear in your inventory!

Rosemary wants an Omen Islands Gannet but I haven't yet gained access to the Omen Islands, what am I supposed to do? Because I'd really like to have the achievement prize... :/
LOL I didn't even read the bird she was looking for and the bird she was looking for was floating on top of her paragraph. That is awesome! :)

@AOBA She doesn’t give you the book as a prize. When you agree to help her, she gives you the book when she says “Well now that's just darlin' of ya! Here ya go now, just take this book I wrote on the subject if I haven't already given it to you, and keep your eyes to the skies!â€. :)

Well gee, some instructions or 'things to not do' would be helpful - just bought a 300k bird for her and seemingly got nothing because of it.
But wait, nevermind, she DOES give you a book for prize - she just doesn't TELL you she gave it to you.
Would have been nice to know we are supposed to traverse Subeta for the bird, not buy it.

If it isn't there already, would love the see the Pileated Woodpecker, Painted Bunting, and Prothonotary Warbler! I love that some of the birds are drawn after real-life birds! I had considered starting a bird gallery before. This makes it more tempting. :)
I am not sure if this is a coincidence or how it's meant to work, but I had been refreshing all over the Arctic Frost to get a bird I needed, and didn't found it, but after getting the book out of my gallery I refreshed the Arctic Frost and I got it immediately.

Oh, oops... I spent 500k on a Riverside Wren from someone's shop because I assumed this was like a regular quest. xD' I have no idea what you're supposed to do... Oh well. At least I didn't spend more.
My bird appeared on the same page as soon as I refreshed. I gave her the bird and then I checked my inventory. The bird was there + I got the book as well! :)

@StarShadow I had to go off for a while. I'm so glad you finally got that bird! There's a thread about this new daily on the Help board. Apparently it's not unusual to have to refresh. Let's hope the Team gets the kinks ironed out quickly.
The first bird I got was the Common Grackle, 
, which I found instantly floating above on her page. The second bird she wanted was House Finch, 
which again I found instantly floating on her page again. I guess one day, I will be told to go to a part of Subeta for those area birds. Or should I just go there and refresh for awhile?

ALRIGHT, so I did get the book from yesterday ^^ Just did some questing and vault storing and it got tossed in without my knowing. She should really tell you when she puts something in your pockets!!

OK so I finally found the stupid bird after nearly an hour & half by refreshing at Omen Islands over and over. Whew. The birds are so pretty.
These birds are so cute ;u; I haven't had to search all that much yet because the ones I've gotten were downy woodpecker and a magpie that were pretty much instantly there. Fun, so far. And I can't never say no to new cute items tbh, so thank you ♥️

@StarShadow It was the Peta Park link. Then I clicked on her and got the clue to go to the Darkside. Went there and got the bird immediately. I thought that was what we were supposed to do. Now I'm reading all kinds of comments about people finding the bird all over the site as they go about their business. I'm getting more and more confused as to how this daily works.
I don't know that it is random if it's from a specific area. I didn't realize my first one was a Darkside... Quail something or other and spent forever refreshing all over the place and nothing. Finally realized it was a Darkside bird went there and instantly got it. Today's didn't belong to anywhere, just "Magpie" and it was almost instantly given to me on a regular page.

What link are you talking about? I don't see any link to click on except the one that goes back to the park or the button to say I found the bird. There aren't any other links there. @StarShadow OK, I'm not fully understanding this yet then. She sent me to the Darkside and the bird was right there. This really needs some more explanation or things are going to get a little dicey. I clicked on the link, was sent to the Darkside and there it was. I wasn't doing anything else.

@StarShadow That's not right, the bird is supposed to be there. Something isn't working for you. Maybe you should file a ticket, or maybe post on the 'bug' board. You need to get that bird. I'm so sorry you're going through this aggravation.
When the news came out this afternoon we got a book and a bird. Now, it's just a bird. Is that right? The book was an opening day gift? The birds are beautiful mind you, I'm looking forward to collecting the whole set.

At the end when you tell her you spotted the bird, it would be nice to be told what we got given? I just found a book in my inventory.
With how these quests are structured, wouldn't it have made more sense for her to be helping us become bird watchers? She could give us a challenge every day to find a different one, and then it would make a little more logical sense than a hobbyist birdwatcher sending someone else to see a bird for her and not giving us any kind of reward.

If there's only 8 lands themed birds, then some places got left out. Peka and Delphi don't get their own birds :c
I think it is random, not page specific. I got my bird on the job agency page.

As someone who is obsessed with birds, and has actually done real work with them, lived on an abandoned island with them, owns them...I feel like I'm going to LOVE this feature!!

@Stiles it's a floating item activity (or as someone better put it - a flying bird activity XD) You just go to the region that she states and refresh until the floating item pops up and you click on it to get it and bring it back to show her. Very simple.

Question though; since you get to keep the bird, you could, in time, be able to buy the bird for nothing essentially, as they're not being taken out of the system, meaning the price will drop drastically. So you wouldn't have to search around for them. (Solving the problem for those who do not have the Ocean part unlocked.) Is this true?

LOL I thought this was a new Quest too and I just blinked at the 10mill price like no... You have to actually find the bird though and click on it to make it work, I'm assuming? Because otherwise some people are going to be able to make a lot of SP from those that don't think to read these comments first.

I am soooo excited for this! My first bird was a woodpecker. :) One of my pets is named after my cat whose nickname is Songbird, I can't wait for all the TC fodder I'll get out of this!
@Mackenzi Well, yes, that's not right. But it's just because we have Minions introduced in Subeta world. And it's a fictional world, where everything is rainbow... Pets talk and mainly that's why I guess it's not like domestication, but friendship (well, people would be really mean if they kept their friends domesticated :P)

@devils_flame666 Birds can be found in a certain Subeta area, most of them have the plave where they can be found in their names. Maybe you weren't looking in the right place?
@Wolf_Spirit I guess all the birds (or at least most of 'em) can only be found in certain areas. That's easier if you need to watch a bird with the name of its habitat in his name, like Veta Plover. You go to the place where the bird can be found and start searching around pages to a floating bird (like Vesnali flowers). Then, take it back to Rosemary and you'll keep the bird as a minion in your inventory.

It'd be great if there was some way to know what this is and how it works, but from reading the comments here this sounds really cute.
@Amber is the book given only once or we get it everyday? If it's given everyday it'll become junk fastly. Maybe cool to keep it in the Recycle Center every Sunday (or Monday, or Saturday, any day of the week, every week).

What I don't love is that this seems impossible to get for some users. I've been refreshing 2 Veta lake tabs and still have not seen a single bird.
I dont want it handed to me, but I also do not want "Dailys" taking more than a minute or two to complete.

Found the one I was asked for as soon as I left from getting the request. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
I think it would be nice if there was the image of the book posted (since a lot of people didn't notice the text saying that she handed in a book!) as well as an image once you complete the quest (perhaps the same bird + the extra reward if any!) -- a bit like shinwa for example!

i think i must be super unlucky. i've started the quest (got the book), and i've been clicking around almost since it was announced, and still no sign of a single birdie ;-; birdies, why you no love me?

I accidentally gave her the bird I found (I was going to put it in my hoard) and I already HAD the book, so what was the point of me losing that bird??? She didn't give me anything for it. I don't understand this. :)
