@Skynix There's a fifth Guardian Beast in the Si Xiang, the Yellow Dragon, that represents the center and the changing of the seasons. But the Beko is neither yellow nor a dragon, so I don't know. It would seem to be the fifth beast in this case, since it's in the middle of the other four in the news post. But it looks much more like a cow, and cows aren't in any Japanese mythology I can find.

I just realised something. Mizami is the Vermilion Bird, Niakko is the White Tiger, Higayu is the Azure Dragon and Kinbu is the Black Tortoise.
Still trying to figure out what Beko is based on (assuming it is based on something) but in the meantime I definitely love all five of them.

OMG i love em all!!!! specially the phoenix one and the cute baby tiger and the baby blue dragon. sooo adorableness. that is the toughest choice picking out the perfect minion i swear. so much cuteness about.
I'm in love with the Mizami and Kinbu! The Beko is gorgeous too... aaagh, they're all spectacular! <3

I must know Dara's secret to finding such adorable minions. I've not seen one yet from this guy that isn't downright precious.
I did do some extra research and found that the Guardians appear in Chinese myth as well (as the Four Symbols) but I couldn't find any cows either. (unless you count the Ox from the Chinese Zodiac).
The search continues!
