I have six new recipes for you to bake at my Bakery! The Masquerade has given me such lovely ideas, I hope you enjoy them.

Of course, the pear for one recipes had to be super rare, despite having normal and common rarity pear items...
That sounds promising @Amber , thanks for the reply! :) Hopefully it won't be too long before baking becomes a bit more affordable.

@rhino_loupe We’re aware of those potential new items. :) In the future, we’ll likely have a butter/oil category that people can choose weather to use one or the other. I’d like to get a few more buttery items for that (like actual cooking butter that isn’t flavored like apple butter etc)
@Amber There are definitely a tonne of butter alternatives that would alleviate the reliance on that one specific item!
-Other butter items on site already: Cinnamon Butter, Sweet Butter, Honey Butter, Apple Butter.
-Potential new items: Margarine, Shortening, Spreadable Butter, Whipped Butter, Salted Butter, Cultured Butter, and other various speciality butters.
-Non-butter items that can be used as a butter substitute for baking: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Banana, Apple Sauce.

When you open the baking kit now, you seem to get a 50/50 chance of getting the supplies for the maple syrup cookies or the new rice pudding. I've opened a bunch today and am getting only slightly more of the maple syrup cookies (I'm glad -- those are more expensive ingredients). That's on top of the random ingredients you get.

Well, too bad Donation Corner isn't working again with ingredients. Guess I'll give Bakery a try... in 1 or 2 years, maybe more.
I do not understand people comparing this to irl baking. I mean for one, ikumoradeekanox, like do we have bunny fruit irl? No. So why harp on some darn butter when the reason its in most things is because we dont have much butter here xD At least be happy we have a few that dont use vanilla extract bro. I almost cried because that.

Many of these recipes would NOT work in RL. Magic of something Subetaish has to be happening in Fantine's kitchen and that's why it bugs her so much when you burn her equipment. I've burned stuff in RL and while it's a pain to clean off the char, in most instances this is unpleasant but do-able, you don't have to buy another hundred dollar pan.
Therefore there's no reason something that is "x butter" couldn't work for Butter in a recipe, it doesn't have to be just that one and only stick of butter.

Hmm, I haven't been able to get past level 2 because the baking kit does not have the 1 item I need for which I'd have to pay another million. This sounded like fun when it started but quickly became too expensive and frustrating. Maybe later when prices go down, in a couple months. Nice new recipes though.

You'll have to battle next month for your ingredients. Want that nice new flour? Too bad, you're going to have to beat Prodigy for it.
IDK I seriously thought this was hinting at a SPRING wedding between Esther.......... And I read into things too much
Next month staff should double-check ingredients, and focus some on new ingredients for future items instead of wearables. I mean, it's not like we don't get overloaded anyhow.

@Muerte omg if we used that THEN IT WOULD’VE ONLY BEEN LIKE NUTTS ADDED, GOSH. WE HAD TO MAKE IT A BIT HARDER. (in general though, I want to keep it restocking items or something like the tree where you can still go every day and try for the fruit, you know? Stuff from holiday shops are a bit iffy if it's not for sP because you can only do currency that one time of the year etcetc)

Just out of curiosity, do all recipes for pastry use stick butter? I was wondering how this work, since I cook mainly cakes and some Brazilian sweets and we always use non-stick butter xD

@kbbob dude I sort of did that for the pudding because you have to get Raisins from the Raisin Porridge. We have an item that is a box of Raisins on site, but it's an old ToT item and I WASN'T GOING TO BE CRUEL LIKE THAT
Is there some reason we're using a pear in the fig cake instead of an actual fig? Aside from not having a basic fig on the site..-_-;
