Menagerie Retirements!
The Masquerade Forums have been closed until next year.
The items from the 2012 tab in the Steamworks Menagerie have been retired.
Migrating Masks will be restocking for the rest of April!

Makes me wonder if there will ever be a Masquerade in the future in which all of the years retired will make a reappearance just once.

I thought in the past the mask shop was open all year because I remember going there at other times. But glad it's going to be open for a couple more weeks since it never seems to stock the few masks I need. Keep my fingers crossed they show up before it closes. :)

Really happy that Migrating Masks will be restocking for a while longer - goodness I still have a lot of masks to catch.

@Passus Okay, that makes sense. Man, I totally wasn't there in 2014...I regret missing a lot of previous events. I try not to do that anymore.

found the news post abt 2011 being retired: 04/20/14 11:57 pm so yep definitely retired in '14 :0

@Marissaunderground yeah, 2011 was retired in 2014! and we probably wouldn't be seeing 2013 go until 2018 since 2012 was retired this year

@Passus I don't ever remember seeing 2011 items, and my first Masq was in 2012. What year were they retired? If you said every other year, then wasn't it 2014?

@Marissaunderground I believe items retire every other year? ( 2011 was retired the year I joined / 2yrs ago, 2012 this year, ) so probably it won't go til at least 2018 if the trend sticks.
menagerie items are always the only ones retired because there are so many of them and the hovers usually cause lag, it's less a tab space issue (as a second row can always be added?) and more tabs that pre load items( and hovers) even if youre not in it thus lots of loaded images = lag, kind of issue :0 the lounge has less than half of the menagerie so it doesn't create that issue,

Oh man, I didn't have enough for all the 2012 items I wanted. Hopefully I'll manage to buy them all in the future.

I managed to grab MOST of the stuff which is good...and now I have to make tons of sP again because I'm nearly broke. Couldn't grab everything, unfortunately, many of which will be impossible to collect. I suppose 2013 items will be retiring next year?
And why haven't the 2012 Lounge items retired? After all, with new items every year there will be no more space for tabs....

-waves goodbye to the 2012 tab- The items from that year are some of my favorite items on the site. I'll never let go of them.

This is my first Masquerade I was able to participate in and it was awesome! I was able to grab some of the now-retired 2012 items last minute too. Thank you so much for the fun event, looking forward to next year too :D

Thank goodness on the Migrating Masks! There's still a few of the new masks that I want but haven't got yet!
