@War i do get the part about the way the story goes, and you did a very good job about building suspense and everything. i did think long and hard about it, and i feel that the part i was most disturbed about was about the children. i'd prefer a quick and painless death for them... T_T forgive me, i cant deal with abuse or torture after having close friends go through it through such early years that the scars from then still show after so long.
however, i have to admit that it is still a sick reality that goes on in the world. i'd still prefer a warning of some sort - even something like "do you dare to read?" might hint at some sort of deterence. but i totally understand why you wouldnt want a spoiler, i suppose, since a slow and horrific shock was what you were aiming for (and pulled it off very well).
thanks for not taking this the wrong way! im too scared to read your other pets now ;-; but definitely, your style of writing stories is quite the refreshing read! c:

Aww, I'm sorry you feel that way! It is never my intention to bring about ill feelings or the like.
As for the story, I'm actually quite squirmish with horror and the like myself. This is about my extent when it comes to macabre material, haha. I'm a pretty big baby. However, I didn't go into great detail with anything because A) that would be terribly inappropriate, and B) needless 'shock value' gore/horror/the like detracts from storytelling, at least for me. I wanted to paint a gloomy, dreary, depressing picture that hinged more on tense tones and atmosphere. Watching the diary unfold was a means for that.
I suppose what I'm getting at is that I'm not too keen on adding a warning. I totally respect your feelings and feel dreadful that I've hurt them, but it is my belief that adding a warning would take away some of the mounting suspense I tried to create. I feel like a dick for saying that, honestly. I hope you can understand!

That story was.... disturbing. xD But well written! Very clever indeed! Well done and congrats!
(the only thing I can say I wish was different, was the hover image, if it didn't have the white box around it, it'd be perfect- but no worries! =D)
