Do you love adventures? Show us by entering Camp Veta 2016’s adventure contest!
You can enter one of the four categories which are:
- Drawing: Show us an adventure with a subeta pet or NPC using any medium like pencil, paint, markers, etc. Remember that there are no computers at Camp Veta, so we will not be accepting digital art submissions! Don’t forget to describe your picture in the text box on the submission page.
Sculpture: Show us an adventure with a subeta pet or NPC using mediums like food, wood, clay, etc! Don’t forget to describe your picture in the text box on the submission page.
Human Avatar: Show us your most adventurous human avatar. You can submit an HA in one of two subcategories, a human avatar that uses custom wearables or one that doesn’t. You can only submit one entry, so keep that in mind!
Writing: You have a max of 5,000 characters to write a short story about a subeta themed adventure!
You will have until August 18th at 11:59pm to submit your entry. You and your fellow campers will be voting for your favorites on the 19th and 20th. I’ll be awarding prizes on the 21st.
Prizes: All participants will receive a participation ribbon that will appear on your profile with your other trophies and medals. Participants will also receive the forum title wants s’more. The three people with the most votes in each category will receive a trophy, the forum title pitched a tent, and 500 cash shop credits.

i too would like to know if scode can be used in the story submissions, or otherwise how to format italitcs/bolds/etc...
I'd like to think my Jurassic Park inspired zombie HA submission will at least garner a few votes. I mean, who else would be in a good position to revive ancient species but an eccentric zombie with nothing but time(and apparently plenty of oozing blood) on his hands?
I already submitted my HA but now I wonder, does it have to be a "realistic" camp look, like boots and shorts? Or can it be like a Shadowglen zombie going on an adventure in Arctic Frost? :/
I just wish there was a way to title our HA entry to explain the story behind it, like "In Arctic Frost on dangerous quest to find a magic star that heals injured pets".

I rather like the idea of traditional art rather than digital. I haven't drawn more than a doodle with pencil and paper in such a long time, and I think I have a good idea for this.
Are we only limited to 1 Subeta pet or NPC? Or would it be cool if we wanted to draw say, 2 Subeta pets and 2 NPCs in the one entry, for example?

Ugh, I'm godawful at traditional art. I can only do pixel art well.
also just personal feelings but I don't get why a lot of traditional artists think digital artists have an advantage. I've never understood that? I am so jealous of anyone who can do watercolors, marker, or hell, any traditional medium well... it's like, impossible to capture that look with digital work.

Hope this isn't taken the wrong way at all, but I was actually excited when I saw the News update say CAMP and thought we were getting a Summer event :) Not sure if I'll enter this or not, but curious to see what others come up with.
upon further thought i have realized that if i really want to play to my strengths i should do what i do best, which is write super mushy gay fanfiction... let's see how this goes :O

I'm glad we're doing something this summer, but I'm very disappointed it's not an actual plot :/ I guess I'll get drawing something.

oh man i'm so torn between a drawing entry and an avatar entry! on the one hand making HAs is my thing... but on the other hand, i'm not sure if i can come up with something sufficiently 'adventurous' (not even entirely sure what that means! are we talking indiana jones adventurous? space explorer adventurous? ancient magic warrior adventurous?) and i would love to try my hand at a drawing, i haven't done a proper art piece in ages and... ugh, i just don't know what to do!
Well I'm not that great at drawing, don't have the energy to come up with a story... so please let the wardrobe work so I can at least try and enter. :)

For the art contest: can custom colors be used (ex: a telenine colored like a real dog) or only official pet colors?

Subeta, why must you say "all media", give us the two seconds it takes to come up with and get excited for a drawing idea, and then immediately crush it with "no computers"? Couldn't you have just said "all traditional media"?
Well, unfortunately, english isn't my first language, I'd love to write something. Already did in contests back in Neopets (fansites) and always used to win :P Buuut, it was in portuguese lol

Do we need to be wearing the HA we're going to submit, or is it an image submitter type thing? And then are we able to change after, or do we need to be wearing the outfit for the duration of the event? c:
