*screams excitedly oh my gosh I can't believe you won the pet spotlight ahhhh that's so exciting!!* Aori's background for her profile is bloody gorgeous and goes so well with the colors and whatnot you used! And that overlay is wonderful - all of the delicious purples and pinks that is totally 100% your aesthetic.
I don't know much about Splatoon, but your writing is superb as always, and it really paints out a rather delightful picture even without context to the world it's set in. That beginning segment describing Aori is so poetic honestly, and I love the comparison of coloration between Aori and Hotaru - since pink and green are supposed to be opposites! Color-coding their dialogue was a clever choice too. I really enjoy those details!
The way you describe their performance makes it really easy to get immersed and caught up in the flow of the excitement of really making a scene / an impressive, viral show that pretty much wow'd everyone there. And I love this line, "The first few journeys out here were simply to see what there was, to see the lights and the sights and the frights..." - it not only rhymes, but really showcases a lot of the different emotions/atmospheres all at once! Scary and yet fun, wondrous and adventurous but just a bit intimidating and potentially overwhelming.
Gosh, I just love the entire sentiment of how exciting and everything is for these two characters in the story. It gives off such a good vibe, especially with the last sentence / conclusion statement. What better, than to be living life to its fullest with your very best of friends? Sounds like these two are absolutely following their dreams with every inch of their being, and it's great. It really seriously feel contagious. You did a really fantastic job on this pet, Marine! I'm so excited and happy you won the spotlight, you totally deserve it! ♥️
