Yeah this is the first time that I hear of it. So coincidentally, 5 Nov is my boyfriend's birthday too. He turns 21 this year. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif border=0>

For those of you who don't know who Guy Fawkes is...

<br>He (along with some other people) tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament in Britain in 1605. He was caught and hung for treason, but every year the 5th of November is celebrated to remember what nearly happened. We have fireworks and then a big bonfire on which a kind of scarecrow of Guy Fawkes is burnt. It's pretty cool. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif border=0> I'll be going to a big display, which is organised by my local council. £3 entry but the money raised goes to charity. Then I'll be going to a friend's house for more fireworks. <img src=/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif border=0>
