Quest-A-Thon: 1mil done, time for a new goal!
If the community gets to 2,000,000 quests completed by 11:59pm on Friday September 4, we will add in two additional prizes for everyone who participated. What are those prizes? The elusive Fashion Hoodie and 5 referral points! If the 2,000,000 goal isn't completed, everyone will still get the original prizes: 1 pet slot, *sparkles* forum title, and the blue avatar border (and the gold if you're in the top 100).

I said I wasn't going to do them all. I said I was only going to do them all until the goals were met, then maybe do Saggi and Wizard daily. I did them all anyways, including the 1 bonus wizard quest I got. -sigh- Congrats and nice work to all who participated!

This has probably been mentioned somewhere, but with tons of comments... @Amber does the top 100 count only for the first 1,000,000 quests or does it also apply to the extended goal? I somehow overlooked Maleria's Quests yesterday (was half asleep when questing) and was just wondering. :blush:

You get a notification when your gold account is three days from expiring. Why not have something similar for trades? And when you're trying to create a new set in the Armory, you should be able to filter the items by things like tier, defense, and attack.

I don't think its a big deal we get another hoodie, it just obviously isn't much of an incentive for those that already have it to want to do the quests after the first goal is hit, which is also fine, people don't need to or have to do it just to get others the hoodie, even if its just a nice thought. There are a lot of people saying you should do it and why not do it and maybe some just don't want to when there isn't incentive for them after the first goal was alreasy cleared (as I already blabbed) there are plenty who are and will 😊 Just do what you can and want to people, you've already done great.

Y'all know that the hoodie is basically a free item you can get from doing just one quest, right? If you don't want it on your account, just delete the item, and you will have lost nothing of substance.

Agree with @Ziorac. What a great idea with the tiers for bonus effort with prizes. Would be like other achievement prizes. Maybe for next year? :)

Heeeeeeeey! Just posting this to let people know that there's a comment by Amber below where she says she's working with Bug to see about making the hoodie not account bound anymore. Some of y'all might want to take a few minutes to skim the comments to make sure your question hasn't already been answered, or your concern addressed.
Having said that, making it transformable would be cool. I'm not going to demand it, just saying I like the idea.

The fact that we blew through this goal so quickly just shows that there were a lot of people during previous QaTs who did a bare minimum and are now enticed by the 'first 100 places only' prize to put in some effort.
Not saying that's a bad thing, just that it's very clear that individual goals provide a far greater incentive than 'everyone gets the same thing regardless of effort'. At the same time, making it ranked forces people to work far harder than they might want to.
Maybe in the future, rather than a ranking, there can be a general overall award for any amount of effort and also a 'if you do (certain amount) quests you get (bonus prize).' This way users aren't competing until the very last moment at the detriment of other obligations, but they can plan out to do, say, 1000 quests over the course of the QaT? You could have various tiers even... Might be too much work though. Still, to add a competition factor to what is supposed to be a community event feels off. People will always be annoyed when they miss out, while if there are tiers, they know exactly what they're working for and missing out can only be blamed on themselves (provided the site doesn't crash and burn).

This is awesome! I think 5 referral points is a wonderful extra prize and I already have the Fashion Hoodie too, but so what? Aren't we here to have fun? And look at how fast we're approaching the 2 million mark already! Everything that's awarded in a contest such as this one is over and above the basic benefits of doing quests to begin with, so why complain??? I think @julian summed it up nicely in their comment. It's sad that some people don't understand how to behave in a social forum.

If you already have the hoodie, well, you can just go and enjoy the other rewards - a pet slot, plus 5 referral points, plus a new title, plus at least one avatar border (if not two). That's already a lot for an event that requires doing a minimum of one (1) quest.

Oof, there are some REALLY entitled people in the comments. I don't need a second hoodie either but I don't mind if I get one. You won't always like every single item that gets released and that's fine, but it's nothing to complain about or be rude over. Demanding or asking for more items just because you're not excited about the prizes is really entitled.
Anyway, excited to see how quickly we reach 2 mil! My bet is we'll reach it on Tuesday. :p

@nubby, if you complete 1 quest, you'll get the rewards. The only reward that not everyone who does at least 1 quest will get is the gold avatar border, which only the top 100 participants will get. (Top 100 being that if 500 people complete the same amount of Quests, then they will all tie for first place and there will be 99 places left....if that makes sense)

Fashion Hoodie is fraggable. Though I am sure they are going to make it so you can put it in a tc or something like that so it's not just vault or in your inventory.

many of us already have the hoodie and you can't do anything with it except delete it, why can't we give it away to people who couldn't participate? it doesn't have to be a selling option, but deleting it hurts the soul ... alternatively, you could have given a suitable piece of clothing, a pair of trousers for example ...

I'm happy that people who missed out on the original hoodie are getting a chance to have one! Having two copies of the hoodie doesn't really bother me at all (and if it did I'd just delete the second copy tbh since it's one of the other options besides wardrobe & vaulting). Those referral points though! I really hope we make this second goal!

I'm fine getting a second hoodie. But it would be awesome if it could be a transformable item that goes from the original to a recolor or something like that. I dont know how doable it is, but it would be cool. I'm quite excited about the referral points tho!

What is the point of having another hoodie if we already have one and we can't get rid of it? I'll occasionally wear the one I have, but a second one would just go in my vault and sit there. I would happily donate the second hoodie (if we get it) to anyone who didn't already have one. Is there no way to change the second one so it can be made giftable/sellable, or tell who already has one?

@MsBehavin there isn't really a first and a second round, just a single round which will end after 4 September in which we originally had to finish 1 million quests, but we finished wayyy early against expectations.. so they doubled the goal to get additional prizes, but to get the golden border you were gonna have to keep questing every day until the end of the event anyway to try and get in the top 100 even if they hadn't added the bonus goal.

Can someone please clarify something for me please? Ok so I only missed 5 quests the first round which I am pretty sure puts me in the top 100 however with the new extension to the Quest-a-Thon will I stll get the avatar border that I worked so hard to earn? Or do I have to continue to work my butt off questing to retain my spot? I have a busy week ahead of me at work and will very likely not be able to quest nearly as much. So just wondering how that is going to work!

Awesome that there is a new goal, and new prized. However, like others, I already have the hoodie, and would prefer a different prize option, but - it is what it is - if I get another hoodie, it'll go into my vault with the other useless item for me :P

I assumed the the hoodie would only be given to those who didn't already have it. I'm not sure if it would fit with any of my pet's treasures if I were to get another one. I like the transforming option as some people have suggested, but I don't know how long it takes artists to draw things, even if they are just recolours.

This copy of the hoodie will be just as pointless to me as the first one I got. I haven't made a modern avatar in several years and have no plans on doing it ever again because I don't enjoy making them. And I have no pet that uses hoodies (and won't be making one) so it would never fit in any of the tcs.
And the referral points? Meh.
In other words, I'm glad that we're getting the pet slot because otherwise there wouldn't be a single prize of interest to me. Which is why I'm concerned about the fact that in future quest-a-thons there may not always be a pet slot as a prize... I'm really starting to think that being able to pick the prize(s) you want from a prize pool would be better and give a better incentive. Kinda like how the Loyalty Boxes work would be great, honestly.
