Is it just the new strains that aren't working or all of them? I'm on my second Magical try now and unsure of what to do.
Well there goes my Stage 5 Delicate. First time I've ever actually tried to participate in the biting portion of this event. Sure hope we get some sort of compensation for this. Oh well, off to try again!

I signed up for the volunteer infection program on the 23 and two days after the skin has not started to develop. Anyone else?
i know everything is in chaos bcos of extreme weather, so i'm just reporting some issues for the sake of reporting bugs, and not as a complaint. these kinds of things happen, and it's okay to wait for cool features until everyone is safe and able to do their jobs.
some bugs i've noticed:
- wardrobe not registering my account as being logged in
- wardrobe lag in the items tab
- site images being broken or not appearing
- kissing graphic loads for anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 minutes, or doesn't load at all
- virus instantly appeared at a later stage, then restarted
- virus disappearing entirely and being unrecognized by the healer
- forums not loading individual posts (infinite loading animation)

My skin is gone, I was on stage four. Will it return at the same stage when fixed or will I have to start over?
Anyone who's having issues with images and forums. I seen this on twitter but if you are on chrome, restart it and things should work again
I don't understand, first day I started a virus, even paid the extra to get one fast and now I have no infection and had to pay again to get one fast. I even got the message that the virus was in process, what happened?
I'm really bummed out, I've been trying to get infected since yesterday but nothing is happening... this is my first survival and I really wanna do the alchemy shop ;;
Really hoping that these weird issues are fixed up soon, before the event slips on by. This is the one event I absolutely love every year. It is always first on my list of excitements for Subeta.

I can't get anything to work right now. Forums won't load and kissing wont work. Anyone else having this problem?
Here's hoping that Bug or someone else on staff will pop up with an update because the insane lag and broken images are killing my enjoyment of Survival. :/ I can't get anything to load and I've let it try for 10+ minutes. This is a limited time event and we've been basically cheated out of 2 days of it already because of site issues.

I've been patient for more than day of unresolved issues. I understand that things always seem to go wrong with events, but they are usually resolved sooner than this, even if the site needs to go offline for an hour or so to fix them. Sure, wait times are shortened for stages, but what about kissing? When it takes 3 minutes or more for a kiss to go through, then another 10 minutes until you can kiss again, at this rate, we'll never be able to earn enough hearts to buy the items. I'm hoping things improve soon.
I try to be really patient because I know the staff works hard and is trying their best but it's difficult to want to participate in this event when nothing will load.
Is the extreme lag going to be fixed in the next couple days? I just kissed my friend for like 3 minutes before it popped up as done and accessing the forums with a good internet connection takes 5-6 minutes.
And so, we wait to see if we're going to be able to do anything. It seems like survival is the only major event where we really have a ton of issues every year, no matter what. It's like clockwork. I wonder if it's because of all the stuff that goes into Survival? The changing strains, the extra items, the kissing, etc... I just wish I could access the forums and wardrobe but oh well. Maybe later!

What seemed to work for me for the wardrobe was to open it in one tab, then from the wardrobe page, click on the "Personal" header and open the wardrobe in another tab again. The original tab then worked for me. I don't know if it was a fluke that it worked, but it did after I had refreshed the page 4 times prior to doing that and having no luck with getting it to work.
No forum, no wardrobe, no avatar, no chance to see the strains and their progress - feeling at home, this is Subeta as I know it during holidays. thumbs up :D
@Bliss. Yes I figured that. And it was gone a few minutes ago but back again now so looks like it's fixed. However I'm only at stage 1 when I should be at least stage 3 after starting it 24 hours ago. Darn. :(

It’s a known bug. You have to sign up for a new strain. I was told snowballs were the culprit for removing infections.

Well I sure would like to be able to remove my zapper skin so I could see my strain progress. But the wardrobe is still busted.

How long it takes to kiss is so awkwardly hilarious. Am I making out with a random online stranger for 30 seconds? Am I being watched? OH GOD.
I've paid for a new strain twice and both times healer showed stage 1 then it disappeared and now it says I'm not infected, again. How many times do I have to sign up and pay SPs and wait hours to get it to stick? I should be in stage 3 of something by now. I hope they're working on fixing this. I'd like to get at least one before the event ends.

It would be great, if kissing interyals were shortened, because even with so few people online in the morning, it takes forever for posts to go through/page to load and then again very long, till kisses register. Like 4 minutes and THEN the cool down period starts.
The Forum Threads won‘t open for me. Yesterday and today. Kissing wasn‘t working yesterday, too, it showed only a neverending spinning wheel. Today, I was able to but spinning took 2 minutes also. Keeping my fingers crossed it‘ll be better soon, I am sure it‘s already worked on, thank you, staff, for looking into this! Have a great day, you all!

Is there some kind of problem with the strains this year? I was showing as infected with stage 1 of Magical but now healer says I'm not infected and when I go back to the VIP it asks me to sign up for a strain. Anybody know what's going on?
Love the figurines, they're adorable! Also, pondering on trying a strain this year, I actually haven't done that yet xD
@Hooligans87 - The wardrobe (and by extension skins) isn't functioning at the moment, and afaik it's a site-wide issue. Staff is aware of this and trying to fix the issue! I hope you can get your skin off soon D :

My avatar won't display, it won't save any outfit changes I make, and it won't let me get bitten (probably b/c I had a zombie skin on previously). Help!
Went ahead and bought another creeping vial incase this effects the strains and I have to reinfect after it's fixed.

Can we please get an update on the broken avatars/wardrobe/skins? It's been like this for hours and many people can't change skins to help with biting. :(
@bipolarness I had this same issue earlier! Is there any chance you're still wearing a skin? I hadnt realized I was wearing an outfit with an older strain skin applied underneath!
I would like to see less time between kisses, or get more hearts for a kiss. Waiting almost 10 minutes and only getting 1 heart is a bit frustrating.
when I go see gunnar, he tells me thanks for volunteering, but idk what strain I have. the "thanks for volunteering page" was the first page I saw when I went to him? He tells me I can bite people looking for my strain, but idk what strain I even have?
I'm able to access the forums, use wardrobe, and kiss people again, thank you! I'm curious if anyone else is having an issue with broken avatar images though? Mine works in the wardrobe but 99% of peoples are broken on the forum with a few randomly visible.

Hey everyone! The lag is being worked on (huge thanks to Keith!) and you may already be seeing speed improvements based on the measures we've taken so far. Holidays always start with a few hiccups, alas, but we've been steadily getting them to go more and more smoothly. Hopefully the lag continues to clear up, and then it's fingers crossed for a wonderful rest of Survival <3

Just glad to have gotten my strain in :) So far the strains I have seen look like they will be great! Can not wait to see what they progress into. There was a minor issue uploading the images for the 2021 strains. If you just signed up for a 2021 strain, your avatar might be broken because it can't find the image for it correctly. We are re-uploading the images now to fix the issue. Sorry for any inconvenience!
