I would also like to take this opportunity to plea for people to not poke fly traps and pretend to be a fly because they can only close so many times and you can ‘starve’ the plant and kill it!

That's an unexpected theme. It reminds me of this dress I once had that was patterened with "plant monsters" (they were really just flowers with teeth). I also wonder if it will relate to anything that could happen later this month (please don't confirm or deny that, I'm just speculating and I'm probably wrong but it's still fun).
