I love the big flag backdrops! They go so well with different cutout pattern items and they make for a really fun theme. Makes me happy the lesbian flag is such a nice color palette so I can use it with my pink/orange themed avis!

When your families reject you for being straight? When they make it illegal for you to be straight? When countries literally have the death penalty against you for being straight? You can have a place in Pride. Call me when you're fighting for your rights and your life.
You want to be celebrated. So... Do you not utilize your birthday?

Bit of a hornets nest you're choosing to poke there, @StarShadow
Saying "Everyone should be proud of whoever they are" is like saying 'All Lives Matter"
Of course they do. But history has proven over and over and over that depending on how you look, all lives don't matter. Which is why BLM is needs to be screamed from the roof tops.
Of course you should be proud of who you are, but history has proven over and over and over that we cannot be safe being our genuine self.
We are not safe and we are not protected, because it's illegal to be ourselves, we are imprisoned and/or killed. Because we are shunned from our families and communities. Because we are targeted and mistreated and crimes against us overlooked by those whom are supposed to enforce our safety, often times, the crimes against us are committed by those whom are supposed to be protecting us. Because we are abused in some form wherever we go. Because we are not Straight. Does that not seem absolutely feral to you? That we are treated with such venom because we are not Straight?
I get it, I bet you're tired of hearing about it. I am too. I hate the social construct of genders playing such a huge role in society and I cannot wait for it to be over. I'm exhausted, the majority of us, I'm sure, are exhausted of fighting to be treated like people. But right now, it's important to scream about it so that one day, our genders will not play a roll in in our education prospects, our job security, our wage, our protection, our community, our mental health. I live in hope that one day we won't have to fight to be equal, but right now we have to fight for basic human rights because we are still treated less than. That is the point of Pride Month.
I'm so pleased that you're proud to be straight. I'm genuinely happy that your life and rights are protected and valued. But have a thought for those who's lives and rights are not seen as worthy and stand with us for equality.

It's really nice that I'm able to have my trans flag as my background now. I'm in the process of being disowned by my dad for being trans right now, so it means a lot to me to have the opportunity to show myself love here in my HA.

Crystle
You have no idea how happy I am that you guys include the Intersex flag. I feel like we always get lost in the shuffle of pride, so it's nice to be part of it!

i hope FabulousViolet knows that Violets are associated with Sapphic Love and Queerness in general, maybe her cishet rude butt should keep it out of her name <3

here for all of the trans people who feel less and less safe in today's political climate. my dad is my tie to my identity as a mexican and he's incredibly transphobic. i had to mourn over the fact i will probably never hear him call me "mijo" (it means my son, mija is my daughter). and i confided in a friend i have always seen as an older brother to me about it and he's always been incredibly aware how important this stuff is to me and long story short he calls me mijo now ❤ obviously it's not entirely the same but nothing can compare to having friends who love you for who you are

Thanks for the lovely ace flag background! These are all really nicely done. :)
It would be a cool addition one day to be able to display multiple flags if one wants.. I guess you kind of can right now since there are three different wearable options, but maybe a flag for each hand would be cool too?

Bummed I can't have the ace and aro backgrounds at the same time to fully express how Nope I am about things :P Just kidding since there's other stuff. Love these!!

Subeta is the last place I would've expected the "what about straight people?" crowd when it comes to Pride Month stuff, but here we are I guess.
You know, it's very easy to step away from your keyboard, easier than I think those people realize sometimes.

I currently identify as a demisexual panromantic non-binary person. You have NO IDEA how happy I am to be included. Straight up tears-in-eyes. Even my ex-roommate, who is part of the LGBT+ community, looked at my hanging demi-flag when they moved in and told me "I don't believe in that", which was only one of the hurtful things that happened while he lived with me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Subeta, for being so welcoming and inclusive to EVERYONE in the LGBT+ community.
And to the straights in the comments who don't understand why people are pissed off at you for asking for a straight pride flag, just look at the other months in the calendar. They're all yours. Let us have at least one moment without y'all butting in and centering things on YOU for a change. You are not a part of the community (even if you're an ally). Thank you for being an ally if you are, but don't be patting yourself on the back while we are STILL getting attacked on a personal and legislative level all across the country (especially our trans members!).
/rant, back to the celebration.
Please excuse me as I buy all of these immediately to send to people.

Oh pretty! It's curious to see the Labrys flag still used here; that's one I don't see often at all! I personally really don't like the red-and-orange (it's just... ugly, I vastly prefer the pink and red lesbian flag instead) so it's nice to have options.
Thank you for including the intersex flag too <3 It's a part of me that I'm still trying to learn to love, really, it's been rough but seeing support is always very very nice.
Happy pride month, be gay + do crimes + never forget that pride began as a riot!

Hi again everyone! If you're interested in getting one of the new pride items (or even one of the older ones) but are a little short on quest points, please let me know and I'll buy one for you. No questions asked, no compensation necessary. Offer lasts until my 172 quest points are all spent! :D

I would love for an agender flag to be included, I don't see it very often. But I am glad that demi is represented. :)

Imagine asking for a straight flag, making everything about you when straight people aren't oppressed and targeted for being straight. But im glad I got to hear, "what about straight people" on subeta too. As if hetronormality wasn't normalized.

Inknote
loving these!!!! I've since moved on from identifying as demisexual for my own journey, but the community still holds a dear place in my heart - so glad they have a flag here now! and so glad I get an ace flag here! Always loved how subeta supported the community
Also the creepy straight person in the comments can lick my boots ^^

Just a reminder to the "straight pride" people that Pride isn't just a celebration, it's also a protest, and as legislative attacks on LGBTA+ people are on the increase the protest part is becoming very important again. When laws start getting passed that target straight and cis people, then we can talk.

Not so gentle reminder that pride started as a ✨roit✨
I wish all my LGBTQIA+ friends a very merry ✨Be Gay & Do Crime✨ this pride!
Also,
As a not straight (I'm bi if you'd like to know!) I'd like to tell you, straights, Stop insisting you "need" your own flag. Do a very quick Google search for the stonewall riots and educate yourselves on exactly how hard our fight has been. You have a world of information at your fingertips, use it. We do not owe you our emotional labor. Especially during pride.

It would be cool if we could get progress flag versions. I think that's what it's called? The one that looks like the rainbow flag but with a triangle with trans colors + black and brown stripes.

FabulousViolet
@Malachi oh no please i didnt mean that in a wrong way. I am most supportive and wrap around all. My daughters and their friends identify in a multitude of ways and i have nothing but open love for them all! Have you ever watched Imagine Dragons Dan Reynolds LOVELOUD? They are beautiful year after year and brings one down to tears of hope and joy and love! I certainly recind my other comment then~.~

Thank you for the lovely backdrops  I'm never sure if I should use the Bi or Pan flags, so might as well wave both! They're both so pretty anyway.

that being said i thought i'd add that i love these though, just bought the lesbian pride one for myself :)

are there any demigirl/demiboy flag items out there yet? if not might be a good idea to include some since they're quite a substantial group within the lgbtq+ spectrum. i don't prefer the term demi"girl" per say (thats just me) but "demifem" is much less used, so demigirl would be a start

OMG!!! YES!! These looks so awesome and theres a lot more flags too :D gonna defo buy some of these and use them. It'd be cool to see a few more A-spec ones.

@FabulousViolet
No, you don't. I already explained why further down but I will repeat the message: straight pride does not belong in Pride Month because you never have and never will experience the hate LGBTQ+ face for your sexuality/gender identity/etc.
It infuriates me that cishet people have to shove themselves into our celebration of freedom. WE face hate for who we are. WE have to fight for our rights as human beings. WE don't get treated like "the norm." But you know who never faces these issues? Cishet people. And demanding you be represented during OUR month is selfish and ignorant to the very reason Pride Month exists.
Straight people make this an issue EVERY year and in another pride news post, a user stated "straight pride is the Hallmark channel". Think about that. A whole channel dedicated to heterosexual couples. Only extremely recently, as in this past Winter, did I ever see a gay couple be represented in a movie (because my mom is obsessed with watching ALL the Hallmark Christmas movies lmao).
Straight people dominate the world. Now stop trying to dominate LGBTQ+ time. It's not that hard to leave us alone.

I'm very happy with these! :) I'm glad to see demi here.
If I may make a suggestion, I think it would be cool to have gray-aces and gray-aros represented, since demi was. 'gray' is another part of the ace spectrum that is often overlooked.

Also OOH I just had a thought - it'd be awesome if there were wearables of the original, 8-color pride flag (designed by Gilbert Baker), with teal and pink stripes! That's my favorite iteration of the flag and I think it'd be a great addition.

The folded hanging flags aren't accurate, they don't have enough creases in the HA version

Here's to my bi sis and gay brother kicked out as soon as they turned 18 by my openly homophobic and physically abusive "I don't hate gay people, just their lifestyle, also no queers in the house" parents
they don't know their second batch of kids are also gay

Believe or not, I have over 16 gay cousins in my family! Love those flags! And Straight (ally) is not a pride but we'd love to have the flag "Pride Ally" to show all LGBT++ that we support them... 100%. Maybe you can make like this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_ally#/media/File:Straight_Ally_flag.svg someday?

This is horribly inappropriate of you. Straight pride can exist but you are erasing the struggles and pain that we as LGBTQ+ people face even to this day. You and other cishet people have never been judged, hurt, or murdered just for being cishet. You do not have the right to butt into Pride Month because you want to be included — you have ALWAYS been included in everything else. Cishet people have nearly every single Hollywood movie, every TV show with a romantic interest, every comic, game, you name it — cishet takes up like 99% of all media.
You have 11 months of the year. Let us have our 1.

I know it's really silly but I really love that Subeta might be one of the last places on the internet to acknowledge the Labrys flag. I'm not a fan of the pink and orange lesbian flag at all so I love that I get to have an alternative.

Okay, just a quick ask here for the LBGTQ+ Community. I'm cishet, would it be alright for me to get the Rainbow Pride Flag. I'm an ally most definitely (lots of family and friends in the LBGTQ+ community).
I've had mixed interactions with how cishet allies are received and I don't want to step on anyone's toes or diminish how hard y'all have had to fight to just exist.

Oh nice, some demisexual representation. I can't say for sure if I'm demisexual myself, but I've never been the type of guy to understand "love at first sight". I want to get to know the person first before I even think of jumping into an intimate relationship, y'know? Can't say if I'll ever find that someone I'll get to know and understand deeply, but someday...

Demi flags!!! :D :D :D :D Thank you so much Subeta staff!!
@Castiel_Angel Well, the nice thing about living in this day and age is that you have Google (or the search engine of your choice) to help you get started. That's largely how I found out I was demisexual - in my late thirties ^^;; I didn't know what it meant before either. It was wonderful and even liberating to find out, even at that late stage, that there was a name for a large part of who I was. A piece of my identity that I didn't have before.
So maybe just take a few seconds and look up the words sometime? Learning's not always a bad thing. Especially if it's about yourself.

Yay new Pride items!!
I'm glad that Subeta is LGBT+ friendly considering what's happening in so many other places online and offline. It's refreshing. And I'm thankful for the block list for the few awful people that still haven't figured out that their hate isn't welcome.
