I'm really happy to see so many positive comments on my girl <3 I almost deleted the whole rant out of fear that I'd be misunderstood to be honest; I wrote the whole thing in one night, went to sleep after marking her ready for nomination, and the next day I was like "Maybe this will tick people off and I should just write some kind of fluffy story for her instead..." To my surprise, she was already nominated. Well, if that one person liked what I had to say, maybe others would too. I may be typical of my gender according to roles, but I don't think it's bad to resemble expectations on occasion. Sometimes today I think that you're frowned upon for being a little stereotypical and not defying your given role. But as I get older, to heck with it all, I enjoy cooking and I feel most confident when I wear dresses and I'm very happy to have long hair ^^ And if you're a guy who likes to do the same, or a gal who rejects all that... that's okay too. I just wish nobody had to feel nervous to be themselves. There's so much social pressure in both directions: accept your role! Defy your role! Whatever you do it feels like you're letting someone down... well. Don't let yourself down. That's all I can say in the end. Thanks to whoever nominated her; I almost withdrew, but thanks to you, I didn't. And now I know I'm accepted, overwhelming girliness and all <3
