I never wanted one, so I never had one. All the kids at school had one, including my best friends. She was the only one that didn't call me a loser for not having one.
Oh yellow kitty giga pet, I taped a cotton ball over your speaker to try to muffle your cries. I snuck you into school under the waist of my pants and next to my skin. At lunch time though you slipped down my pant leg as I was grabbing a chocolate milk. I wasn't quick enough to scoop you up before a teacher grabbed you off the floor and told me to come get you from the principals office before going home. I was so mad during recess when our rival Nichole was able to take care of her trex at the bottom of the spiral slide.
Oof! This brings back memories as I was a kid during the Tamagotchi craze. I owned the knock-off brands when I was a kid (i.e., Giga pet), and I was a terrible owner as my pet died multiple times. The last time I misplaced it, I could not find it for over several months, so as you imagined, it died again. I felt terrible, and I never attempted to care for a digital pet for an extensive period of time (i.e., furthermore, batteries for it were expensive). I now own a spin of the Tamagotchi known as the V-pet (i.e., Digimon series), and I am better at caring for it though there were times I have forgotten about them and they have gotten sick or died. Currently, my pets are in the freezer as I can not afford batteries. Once I can, I will bring them back online and continue caring for them. My pixel pets are just as important as my real ones. Yes, I am that strange. Besides that, this was a fantastic pet, bringing back many fond childhood memories. Congrats on your win.
Good thing I was born in the 2000s and not the 1990s. I would've never asked to have a Tamagotchi.
This made me laugh more than I thought it would. Hahaha loved the reminder that I am a cruel pixel owner. My neopets, tamagotchis, nintendogs, subeta pets (exception permanent) all starve. Yet my real life animals are all chonky

HAHAH nooo! I loved you back then! :'] when i see tamagotchis i remember a school day when some kids went to play dodgeball and I didn't care to, so I happily took care of several of these cuties for an hour. XD would like one as a keychain nowadays.
