i havent been active recently, but i've been checking here every day to see if y'all had a tribute item coming for her. i imagine it's a difficult position with so many deeply impactful & cherished folks passing so close together…we can only have 1 free gift at a time, but the spaces left by Miss Dolly, Tim Curry, Peter Cullen, Hayden, & then some? impossible to fill.

Thank you for this lovely tribute, I knew Subeta would do something. I'm glad we have some Tim Curry inspired items already because T^T losing Dolly was hard enough, but TIM TOO??? Putting this in Caped's Treasure Chest

As a school librarian, this tribute was so touching. I'm still very much in shock. My nephew gets a Dolly book every month.

Honestly, this is the perfect tribute item for Dolly! Her Imagination Library opened up the world for so many children! ❤ Thank you for this beautiful and thoughtful tribute! RIP Dolly!

So is this just a normal book? From the description I thought, it might contain various different books - probably retired or unobtainable or just normal rarities or what have you.

@Devlyn I went to college in the smokey mountains near where she grew up (I was on the NC side rather than TN). So much around there mentioned her music, sure, but more about the stuff she actively did for the community like her book program. In 2016, after I had left the area, there was a huge wildfire on the TN side that ravaged Gatlinburg. Dolly Parton was one of the leading people helping community efforts to recover; I'll never forget hearing all my friends back in the mountains on how quickly she jumped in to help. Dolly also did a lot to help after Hurricane Helene wrecked that part of Appalachia. Truly an amazing, inspiring woman.

It's truly beautiful. She was such a fabulous, beautiful, and talented woman, but the fact that this tribute celebrates the amazing things she did for people is fantastic. What an amazing thing to have so many things to choose from to be remembered by!
