Apparently, the Rudolph song borrowed the names of the reindeer from a poem written on the 1800s. Donner and Blitzen were originally named Dunder/Donder and Blixem <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> The names were both changed to rhyme & sound better with the more recent song written by Johnny Marks in the '50s ^^
