Who wants to see the /same/ front pose over and over again and like most have said, don't like it? Don't get it and you won't have to look at it.

If I were an artist I'd be afraid to post any new pets because everyone always has something bad to say or wants to change it! It's really starting to get annoying because everyone's so mean. Everyone always wants to make the ear go two inches to the left or something and it's like who cares! It's already been done! They should disable posts from new pets... XD

We need the artists to work on more pets, methinks.. Many are in dire needs of revamping (Bloodred Cadogre, various Bloodreds, Angelics and Graveyards..), or they just need releasing.

I love the color scheme on this pet especially. Usually the thing that bugs me about angelic pets is that lilac, pink and blue combo, but the nice thing about the lighter tones on this popoko is that they really make sense as 'angelic'. 
Also, I like the pose, it's nice to have something different.

I am just struggling to understand why when one group agrees with each other it's 'expressing their opinions' but when other people agree it's 'ganging up' and they are a 'possee'? Is it just because we are friends? If so, kind of lame.

I am also glad that the Angelic Potion was put back in the cash shop. The more I look at this the more I like it. I first thought it was a little boring, but a closer look shows the great fur texture in the shading of the tail, and the shading on the wings is also very good.

I don't expect to be able to please everyone. I did have to do a double take at the word copout, but I don't think sp4de meant any harm. They tried to suggest a way to improve the pet, which most people don't do. I don't agree with their redlines for this particular pet, but they don't agree with my version, either. Most people, when they have a pet released that they don't like just go,''omg SUCKS DON'T WANT.'' and don't try to offer any reason why. I don't like that 'cop out,' was applied to me or my pet, but I don't think sp4de meant it as insultingly as the word implies. It's not a nice word to hear applied to yourself, but I don't think sp4de was trying to tell me that I sucked at life. *I* know I certainly didn't slack off when working on this pet. I can't prove it to anyone else, but for the people I worked with when creating it. 
 
I'm okay with the fact that I can't please everyone. I don't think that anyone is ganging up, either. I appreciate those of you who are defending me, too. I love you guys. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> As far as pet releases go, this one hasn't had anyone be truly ridiculous or offensive. (I'm still waiting for it, though. There's always someone who has to show up! XD) 
 
So. My feelings aren't hurt, I love everyone, and I really appreciate everyone who is looking out for me - whether it's trying to suggest something better or disagreeing with a poor choice of words.

None of us are bothered that anyone on this news posts dislikes the popoko. Both the artists and the users here realize that you cannot please everyone. What I personally am contesting is an offensive choice of words and the tactless manner in which said dislike was expressed.

I don't think a variety of individuals separately posting with their own views is ganging up. We're not off in a room together, plotting what to say. We're just voicing our own opinions and unhappiness at the choice of words used - and in my own case, I'm voicing my actual knowledge of how hard the artist worked on this. 
 
I watched her do it, step by step, from sketch to colour choices. I'm TELLING you she in no way 'copped out'. And actually, as far as poses go, we never draw just one pose and stick with it. I know Arbor has been doodling popokos for ages, and she got to this pose and liked what she could do with it, and developed it from there. For variety's sake, I try to get a few back poses in with my own pets. Arbor would have had no problem in drawing it front view, it just wasn't the pose she chose. 
 
Eh. I don't know why I'm arguing so much, it's clear that this pet is favoured among most <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

None of the users posting here are 'ganging up' on anyone. We are voicing our opinion, and it is the usual 'posse' that comes in and shoots down every comment that they feel is ill and undeserved. It's amazing how overly emotional some can be over a few comments of dislike. 
 
Not every piece of artwork that comes out of an artist here is going to be fully liked, nor is it going to be 'perfect'. No piece of art is perfect in the art world, and everything could use some form of improvement. 
 
Some of us simply think that the pose could be more dynamic, and that more effort could be brought forth. Does this mean that we think it 'sucks', or that the artist is 'horrible'? No. Not at all.

the first time i saw it i though, wow this is raelly simple cxompared to the other angelic pets, but the more i looked the more i thought, actually, i like it because of that, its not busy and things werent crammed into the space, plus i love the pose, it really is beautiful and i might just change host to and agelic popoko instead of an angelic keeto :3

Sp4de, I'm sorry, but your 'redlines' are anatomically incorrect. 8| The first one you did is a sitting pose, and that's not what the artist was going for. In the second one, the bottom part of the body is a tad long. The pose for the official one is fine and I don't see anything wrong with it.

This is simple, yet complex. The colors are soft ( something I love) and it definitely fits the angelic part of the pet. But, I love the pose most of all. (: It makes the pet come off as coy and shy in a very easy way. I am definitely aiming to get myself one now...

I don't see this as being overly simple. It has lovely detailing in the shading and its obvious that Arbor worked very hard on this piece. Its very light and sweet without being over the top cute. Popokos themselves are rather simple pets, without wings or a million markings. What did you want for her to do, add swirlies everywhere like Galactic? News though: Angelic doesn't add swirlies. It adds wings and a halo, both of which were incorporated into the picture. 
 
I also see nothing wrong with the pose. Its floating on its back while turning its shoulders just the slightest bit to turn its head and look over its shoulder at you. 
 
Just nearly every pet on the site is facing you and in a front on position. That Arbor felt brave enough to do a backview, and do it well, is a measure of her skill. What's wrong with a little change?

I love the pose, and the art, and the coloring, but honestly, it sort of looks feline to me. Pretty sure it's the head area. Just the way it's structured. But honestly, I haven't the faintest idea about rodent anatomy.

To those thinking I am trying to be mean/rude to the artist~ I did not know or care to know who drew the pet. From my understanding, news comments are allowed so we can give Feedback. I have made it clear that it is My Opinion that the pose is lacking. Cop-out doesn't necessarily mean lazy. It means an error was uncorrected whether it be intentional or not. It looks as if they attempted one thing then changed their mind. I never said it was lazy work. It's a Beautiful Design but a Flawed Pose.

I'm not sure who made you the boss of what special colours SHOULD be, but I can tell you now that simplicity is something special colours definitely CAN be. (Hello, Glacier?) - and FYI, simple does NOT mean easy. 
 
And you know what, I hate when people just assume that because they don't like a pet, or the pose isn't what THEY imagined, that the artist 'copped-out'. Get over yourself. Arbor worked EXTREMELY hard on this pet, THAT I will vouch for. 
 
I personally find back poses difficult because of the curvature of the spine, and the turn of the head. I feel that arbor got these both spot on, and on top of that her shading is beautiful and subtle, whilst still being detailed to the point that it actually looks like the tail is soft. 
 
Don't like it? Don't get it, or just say that it's not for you. Don't dare accuse the artist of not trying her best because that's all we artists frigging do for you people!

Eh... I have to echo that the pose is a bit of a cop-out. The Popoko has so much detail that it's wasted in a back-shot with just a huge tail-poof in the area. :T Doesn't do it justice at all.

I adore the color choices and shading. I agree with Tianaroo: it's great that this isn't a bright color overdose - instead, it's soft and sweet. 
The anatomy does strike me as a bit vertically compressed, but overall it's still lovely.

I think it is good, and thank goodness it does not have excessive light blue, purple, or pink! I just love the angelics with a white base. 
 
It is nice to see a more neglected species get some attention. Now Mahars still badly need a new color. They have less colors than any pet, including the lain, and have been out far longer than the lain as well.

Finally, a colour at last.

Anyway, lovely job. Colouring really grabs you when you first see it.

Thats a good pet to brush the dust off xD 
I don't like it because the wings are pink. 
Gold white or the lightblue from the eyes would look better.

Xheheroki - I do, too. I think it's because I was so busy with being UA for most of the last year, that I slacked off and got very few colours done. That's what makes it seem so new - you guys never got a chance to see them, get used to them. I had a very big shock when I remembered that the popoko's birthday was the day before mine. ...wait a second. That's today! *_* ohno!

Wow, one of the best new pet colors I've seen in a long time. The outlines aren't too thin and they flow well, the colors are subtle but well-balanced, and the anatomy is pretty much perfect. I had no idea what this was at first. Any number of species popped up, including it being altogether new. It's nice that popokos are getting a redraw, although I was hoping for bloodred to make a tiny ninja squirrel, but I'd probably like this more minus the wings and ginormous tail. 
 
The coloring is good though.

I love the color choices and the popoko's position. The art is beautiful as well, I just have an issue with the tail's size. Kajato - Creature inspiration for the popoko actually comes from more than just squirrels. Rabbit, squirrel and skunk were pretty predominant. There is also some bongo and fox in there, in very small areas.
