The birth of Rebbie is uncertain as he was brought to an orphanage when he was just a baby. It was a swampy area near a "witch den" - places of high witch activity. Some think he's the victim of witch attacks - his birth town is known to be an "Orphan town" as many malicious witches would attack families and kill parents, leaving their children alone. To this day nobody knows the purpose of that, as the witches were hunted down and killed after the Hecate Law was passed and all violent witches were to be purged.

Rebbie grew up harboring malice towards magic and magic users, he had a knack for making traps and all sorts of "tracking devices" which obviously were mostly toys out of sticks and strings. However, his nanny noticed that the boy had a strike of genius that few kids had, she also secretly held Rebbie in her heart as a favorite, as the boy was very sickly during his childhood and came into the orphanage with a scarred face and lost his eye due to an infection. During adolescence Rebbie had an infection spread in his leg due to the local hospital lacking funds to vaccinate the children - the boy lost his leg to the infection but survived.The nanny cared for him dearly and it was hard for her not to let Rebbie call her 'mama'. When Rebbie reached school age she pooled some money together to send him to a proper school.

Rebbie did wonderfully at school and did his best for his nanny, he enrolled at the University of Engineering, earned several scholarships, which he all sent back to his home town, even though his donations weren't huge they kept the kids well fed and dressed. As an adult Rebbie returned home and opened up a sort of scrapyard where he repurposed worn out electronics and cars. His proudest creation was a water filtering system to clean out the sources polluted by the swamp water.

Little did Rebbie know that his little life would be turned upside down when he met a certain girl. It was his long lost twin sister, Lolita, and that was when Rebb found out that in fact his true birth name was Lionel and he was a descendant of the proud Von Brandt family. It was a tough discovery for the man, even to this day he hasn't fully come to terms with the fact that he was simply abandoned by his family and grew up dead to the world. His only consodilation is that his adoptive family is supportive and loving.
