Welcome to Artichoke's Profile! Artichokes have been my favorite food since I was very young. Here you can find a few recipes in case you were interested in making some of your own.

First, a bit of information. If you buy your artichokes in the United States, they most likely come from California. California takes their artichokes very seriously, even having a yearly aritchoke queen. The first artichoke queen ever was actually Marylin Monroe!

In the 16th century only men were allowed to eat artichokes because they were considered an aphrodisiac and was thought to enhance sexual power, which was a no-no for women.
