Arrival Story:
I heard about ICHS from my friend at work, so we went to go check it out. This was almost 2 months ahead of time. I had my eye on another dog named Bert. That idea was thrown out the window when I saw another family filling out an application. I was walking around outside looking at the dogs, when I turned a corner, there he was! Drifter was the name they gave him. I squealed and ran over to him. So sweet and cute. How could you resist his face? Over the next 8 weeks I went to visit him at LEAST every saturday, if not more. The shelter was an hour away but I didnt care. We finally brought him home, after WEEKS of waiting on Feb 15th. Hes adorable, and everyone loves him. He is the reason I opened my heart to rescuing and adoption. After years of loyal and amazing companionship Ben was diagnosed with liver failure and unknown location of cancer. He was taken to the rainbow bridge where he waits for us. Young and spry. Im sure knocking over trash cans and eating until he cant move. Love you Bubba.
