Mortals may come and go but the land upon which they tread watched on with a sharp eye, tracking their comings and goings, making note of what they constructed upon the terrain. Little towns built in an attempt to resist the encroaching environment, eager to reclaim the land that rightfully belonged to the spirits. Fires burned to block the darkness but still the shadows lingered.

There was no beginning for Fanndis. She simply was, existing as an embodiment of the northern lands, harsh to outsides and bitter with icy winds and snow that climbed over doors, entombing the brave souls that called the barren lands their home. The skies willed what they liked and Fanndis often sat atop the highest mountains, watching the gray clouds roll across the horizon, bringing forth the delicate flakes of snow.

Her lands being so vast, travelers would often find themselves stumbling through harsh terrain, battling to find respite from the brutal winds. Here, Fanndis makes herself known, and guides the lost through the dark.
