Like other sea dwelling experiments, 886 are typically released along the northern shores of Darkside and dwell in the sea between the Southern and Western Continents. They are often wanderers, moving between underwater communities without finding a proper home. Thanks to having little muscle or flesh, they are hardly targeted by ocean dwelling predators; however their bodies are fragile and easily damaged having only soft, transparent goop to protect their organs.

They're never really given names. The concept is foreign to her; the designation number given to her experiment type is simply what and who she is. She doesn't understand how to form an identity. All she can do is be, floating aimlessly until damage or illness ends her life.
