A Green Rider, or Greenie, rides in service of the King; delivering messages and contracts of dire importance. No one seems to know how Greenies deliver their messages so swiftly or secretively; it's as if by magic. Greenies are always carrying useless hunks of metal pinned to their namesake green cloaks and everyone knows the life of a Greenie is short but those that serve seems unable to resist their duty. A Greenie's horse is also quite the mystery. They are only loyal to their rider and seem to have more intelligence than your average horse. I'll let you in on a secret...it is said that metal pinned to their chest is actually a brooch in the shape of a flying horse..but only a Green Rider can see it truthfully and use it's powers for duty. But then again they could all be just crazy. Why don't you look?
Read the book Green Rider by Kristen Britain. I saw this pet in pound as a green dragarth and found some inspiration. All characters from Green Rider and the series belong to Kristen Britain. I loved the books, try them out.
