Vanity- excessive pride in one's appearance, qualities, abilities, achievements, etc.; conceit
Greed- excessive or rapacious desire, especially for wealth or possessions.
Bane- A person or thing that ruins or spoils; death; destruction; ruin
Hades created the monster that is Cerberus. He found us as a puppy and raised us. As far as the rest of the world knew, we were meant to be the guardian of the Underworld. But I think Zeus suspected we were meant to destroy him. When Hades found us, he instilled in us three curses. Vanity was the first. Our excessive pride made us very determined to do better. Then came Greed. We would always want more, and we would do anything to get it. The last curse was Bane. We would be destined to cause death and destruction, and be someone's bane.
But there was one side-effect Hades didn't intend. We began to develop emotions. And then we got additional characteristics. Each of our heads had a different personality, which could cause a problem at times. But we all shared one trait- a need for revenge.
We didn't want to be a tool for Hades to use. And we were very angry. He cursed us thrice- ruined our unlife! For his own purposes.
