From a young age, Rosemarie knew she wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. She grew up on the island known as Mossdeep City, and, while her parents worked at the city's space station, she frequented the beaches to watch trainers battle it out. Much to her parent's dismay, she wasn't very interested in science; she'd much rather be one of those trainers on the beach! And so, on her thirteenth birthday her parents gave her a Mudkip, who she named Rahul. With Rahul, she battled against fellow youngsters like herself, and found that she really did enjoy the swell of battling!
She, along with Rahul, grew a lot on those beaches, and they began their journey throughout the Hoenn region when she turned eighteen, starting at Lilycove City. They made a number of friends along the way, both human and Pokemon, and eventually found themselves ready to take on the Hoenn Region champion!
