What you are about to read is a story...a story of gluttony and greed. Our tale begins on a fairground on Delphi Beach. The proprietor of a sideshow act known as simply "The Freakshow," was relaxing after a particularly lucretive collaboration with a ex-rival circus. He was miserly counting his money since lately he had lost a lot of dough due to the demise of his oldest oddity, a half irion/half tigrean freak. That act had been one of his bigger money makers--not only because it was so old, but also because it was unique. His other acts included a two-headed emu, a merseal, and a creepy living toy. But none of them could replace the one he called "Catbird."

His wife was cleaning up the grounds around the show and found the cutest little thing rustling around in the fast food wrappers that the people had left behind. It was a tiny giraffe that only stood 6 inches tall. But that wasn't the strangest thing about this minuscule creature. It was also the fattest beast she had ever seen. Despite her small stature, she weighed 25 pounds and looked like a cross between a giraffe and a dachshund. The proprietor had hit the jackpot! With this "pygmy" giraffe, he could rake in the bucks! And he could even let the kids feed her for an additional (but very modest of course) fee.

Within the first week, his ticket sales went up 100% and even surpassed the sales that he had lost from the act that died. Everyone wanted to see the lovable and plump little giraffe. His wife named her Patty, because hamburgers were her favorite. Since she helped the show so well, she quickly became the favorite and always had plenty of fast food to fill her tummy. And the clowns loved to come around and dress her up. She was always seen wearing their frilly collars. This made for a very happy and fulfilled life for the tiny giraffe!
