[b]Background:[/b] Born in the city of Derby, in the middle of the Britain, he grew up with his mother, father, and his little sister. They lived a relatively normal life, Jessiah showed promising signs in his school work. On a stormy winter night in December, the family was returning home from a Christmas get-together when the car veered off the road. The accident left his father dead in a violent display, staining the snowy roadside red, left his younger sister without a leg, his mother emotionally wrecked, and a long, jagged scar down Jessiah's side.
And yet, despite witnessing terrible events and going through such a horrific experience, Jessiah was mentally unharmed. He remained without any sign whatsoever of emotional trauma, even seemed stable as far as his mental health. The scar at his side was merely a shallow gash, barely missing his ribs and causing no damage to anything but the skin.
Nothing seemed to bring the young boy any happiness though, that is, except his childhood friend. She was a young Korean girl, Amelia Chang-Jae. The two, having played together their whole lives, eventually fell madly in love, inseparable at times even in their teens. Yet even with the promise of love and a future, things were to never be as the two youths wished. Life was about to take a horrifying turn.
It was on the eve of his seventeenth birthday when he proposed to Amelia, the two of them were to be wed, to elope, to run off and start their own lives together away from a town filled with a layer of pain under the crust of their happiness. And they ran, leaving the town of Derby together. No one is certain what became of young Amelia, for her body was never found. Whatever happened is only known by Jessiah. Some say he wooed her away to hold her for ransom and get money from her wealthy family, others insist that she used him to get out of Britain. But no one knows for sure, aside from the man himself. But to this day, no one has ever seen Amelia Chang-Jae since the night before she left with her love.
Eventually, years later, Jessiah made his way to London after a long period being reported missing. He wasn't able to return to his childhood home, the authorities had insisted his disappearance as well as Amelia's was an accident, making his living family believe he was dead. The news spread around Derby fast, and eventually everyone went on with their lives, the remaining Blackwoods still believe that Jess is dead; in fact, his grave sits next to his father's.
A few months after he returned, the murders began. Later, in custody, he admitted that he had hallucinated Amelia's form, and seeing what he claimed as "her ghost haunting" him. With his shaky mental state as it was, he went mad with grief, feeling worse than he had when Amelia had disappeared. This drove Jessiah to commit a series of random murders, a distraught and modern Jack the Ripper of sorts. His victims were both males and females, seeming to have nothing in common other than two facts: One, they were all some ethnicity of Asia, and Two, they were all violently murdered with signs that the bodies were kept for a few days after death, treated as though they were still alive, a way to bring comfort to himself.
Jessiah was charged with six counts of First Degree Murder and twelve counts of Second Degree Murder, a total of eighteen victims that he was tried for. He was sentenced to life committed to the Beaumont Asylum for the Criminally Insane, where to this day he remains.
