I have been many things in my long years. I have held many names in many tongues across the eons. You might not believe it - but I was once respected - loved, even. Now I am nothing more than a monster. A foolish prideful monster that thought he knew everything. She forced me to see that. Now I walk the Din'anshiral. A path I have laid out for myself. One that I must walk alone; One that I must endure without... her.
I had become an unstoppable destructive force. I had planned to make everything right again; to correct the wrongs I had done to my people. I had a plan - before it all changed. Love. No matter how powerful one might believe themselves to be - no matter what power they wield, no power reigns higher than that of love. In the end it was love that brought me to my knees. Love is both beautiful and deadly; delicate and fierce; and none can stand against her might. I could not withstand her might.
Now I endure. I walk the Din'anshiral a shadow of my former glory. The darkness presses in at all sides and I am an unwelcome stranger in my own skin. I have failed myself, my people, and her. She sought to redeem me but I am unworthy of redemption. Where this path will take me I cannot say, but each step I take is mirrored by that of my lover. She may find me one day whether in the waking world or the next - wielding the very weapon that struck me down.
I have not given up Vhenan, I must find a way to mend all the terrible pains I have caused - both in the past and now in the present. Only then can I hope to face you and your enduring love head on and together look towards a brighter future.
