Leina found Akiko while looking for The Scroll of Generosity, of which little legacia was supposed to be the guardian. The corrupt monks of Akiko's shrine agreed to sell the scroll to Leina, and for ten-fold the price agreed to throw in the child goddess. Seeing the girl's potential fate, Leina rejected their offer and instead laid waste to the monastery. She took the Scroll as payment for her troubles and the child goddess as her charge. Akiko makes for a very agreeable housemate. She's always cheerful, cooperative, and enjoys cleaning. Her cuteness makes it easy for her to get what she wants, especially from Diaz, who doesn't know how to handle her affection. Akiko is a child goddess- not just a child- which shows in her shrewdness and political cunning. Even as the youngest in her household, she manages to keep everyone but Leina under her thumb. It's just as well that she she doesn't aspire to much with her newfound power- a cookie or two is a sufficient offering for the little goddess.
