Hello, I am Titania McGee with the channel 5 news, your BEST source for up to date information! We have breaking news. An unidentified giant creature has been spotted in downtown Centropolis. Its intentions are unknown. Our news helicopter managed to get close enough for a shot of the creature in front of City Hall. Representatives from City Hall were unavailable for comment.

Steve flipped off the television, one of those giant high definition plasma screen monstrosities Resilient had insisted on installing on his floor of Superphugs Tower, completely against his wishes. He took the private elevator to the common area and found Tony there snacking on a box of his favorite pastries, eyes glued to the news. Steve snatched one of the pastries. At least they still had decent bakeries in the future.

"Hey, those are mine!" Tony pulled the box closer to him. "Are we assembling?"

"I haven't made the call yet," Steve replied, turning his eyes to the screen's live footage of downtown Centropolis, not even thirty minutes from the Tower. Military personnel were gathering near City Hall, creating blockades.

"It hasn't been hostile, at least not yet, and the Chancellor's forces are already on the scene."

"If you do make the call, it'd just be the two of us this time. Even if we wanted to unleash the Titan on downtown, Bruce is in South America doing some humanitarian thing. The spy twins are on some top secret mission. And as far as I know, Point Break's still in another realm in glorious battle," Tony said between bites.

The footage on the television grew shaky, and screams could be heard in the background. The camera panned and zoomed to the creature. It threw back its ugly head and covered the empty car in front of him with goo. In mere seconds, the car started to melt into the pavement. The creature turned toward the camera, and the feed suddenly cut out, returning after a brief delay to an obviously shaken news reporter at the station.

"We have, uh, breaking news. The creature in downtown Centropolis, known on the streets as Killer King, is currently on a rampage. Do not, I repeat, do not approach Killer King. He has the ability to spit acid and is highly dangerous. Seek shelter immediately if you are currently downtown."

"I'm making the call," Steve said without hesitance, his Spangles persona shining through is his commanding tone. He clicked over to his portable communicator in case any of the other Superphugs did happen to be in range. "Superphugs, assemble!"
