Dawn-Rose spent all her life as a skivvy, cleaning up after the battles in the Coliseum, orphaned and alone, she did anything she had to in order t survive. A common Legeica, she had no standing in the world whatsoever. Day after day passed before her, an endless life of cleaning and waking up at sunrise to start her eternal list of chores on an almost empty stomach. The only joy she found was in watching the mighty warriors on the battlefield, the strength, the glory!! She longed for it more than anything else in the world, and any spare time she had she would practice on the test dummies and assault courses; she assumed she was alone.But for the past year, Reischen had been watching her quietly, taking in her technique and her fiery passion for the fight. At last, when he was satisfied Dawn-Rose was up to the challenge, her set her up against minor fighters. To his wonder, they were defeated with complete ease, she was Champion material indeed! They spent a further year together, apprentice and master, as he helped her hone her skills to the highest points he knew, and shared with her all he had ever learnt.When Reischen was sure of himself, he called Dawn to him, telling her nothing other than "It is time now."Together they approached Shinwa, hoping for some help to mold Dawn into a mighty warrior.The temple gleamed in the sun and Dawn was almost afraid to step inside, in case she somehow tainted it with her very presence."What is it you seek?" A woman's voice floated down to them, as Shinwa approached the pair who stood in complete awe of her."Goddess" said Reischen "I ask on behalf of this young apprentice that she may have your blessing and your aid, for she may be one of the greatest warriors this land has ever seen. I am certain that she can be the one to finally bring an end to Maleria's evil ways and establish your way as the true path for this world."Dawn-Rose held her breath, not even daring to look at the Goddess for fear of her reaction at such a request.Shinwa was quiet for a while, staring intently at the plain little Legeica, and sighing deeply."Well I certainly see her potential, but she cannot represent us looking like this!"With a single breath, Dawn-Rose's entire body flooded with all the colours of the sun, and she had never felt so alive in all her days.Now, she looked straight into the beautiful face of Shinwa, eyes gleaming and bright."I will earn this" she whispered.Shinwa smiled and placed her hand upon Dawn's head."Then go, go to every corner and to every people and learn what you need to learn, see what you need you see. When you are stronger, return here, and we will bring about the end of evil together"And so begins the tale of a true hero...
