Once, there had been a traveler that crawled out of the ocean. For centuries, she had traveled from place to place and aided those who needed it.

Once, there was a traveler that she grew fond of. They went around the world to see the sights and the people. Unfortunately, they were mortal and their body was failing him in the cold. She tried everything to save them, but their last breath was taken by the howling winds.

In her grief, she wandered. The saltwater that had drenched her had stayed with her, and had froze her down to her core. Her frame rattles; she slows down in places where she had never done before. She can't leave the cold. She had to relearn her own power-- instead of saltwater salves to ease, there was cold to numb the pain.

Now, she continues to help people, but in different ways. She has a small lodge tucked away in the mountains, and she can lead travelers there to rest, to help them. It isn't the same, but its something.
