I can't move. It's so cold, I can hardly breathe. I cannot see anything in front of me; nothing but white. I need to get out of here, but I can't get up. I lay motionless, slowly being covered in a blanket of snow. How did I get here? What did I do wrong?

What happened to me?

I ran as fast as I could. This light is not getting away from me this time. I ducked and dodged large fir trees that is the forest, as I soared past the obstacles. The light was tricky. It flew under places I could not fit, rose high above heights I could not reach.

The trees of the forest noticeably began dimming in numbers until finally, nothing surrounded me but snow. I never took my eyes off of the light, but I was urged to look back. Behind me was the lush forest of tall trees, gradually shrinking as I kept forward. I turned back. Where was the light? It's gone! I stopped running and examined my surroundings. The forest was no longer visible, and I had lost my direction. The light... I admitted defeat, but I had a greater problem.

Temperatures dropped rapidly as the night fell. I wandered aimlessly for hours. I was nowhere. My breathing became heavier with each step I took. I could feel my lungs freezing, my feet are numb, my eyes are so dry I cannot keep them open. But what was the point? I couldn't see anything anyway. It was dark and cold. I could feel the drops of snow hit my face, but could not see the sky from which they came. Not even the stars. And at that moment, I knew... no. I need to keep moving. But it could be miles until I come across anything. Stop it. It's dark, you are alone. No. Stop. I panicked. I could feel my heart pounding through my chest.

Unnoticeably, my feet quickly picked up. I ran. I needed to get out of here. I felt a stiff object beneath my feet, and my face met the ground. I lay there. Motionless, panting tirelessly. I felt my tears run down the side of my face, quickly freezing over. And at last, I shut my eyes.
