Experiment Log #116-8

Project: Imbuing and Affecting Sapidity and Presentation of Organic Matter Via Habituation and Percolation – A Study.

Continued attempts into this study have proven difficult. My experiments have offered less than satisfactory results – usually due to the interruption of parties outside said study. While the perpetrators have been warned, their continual disturbances are proving most egregious.

Honestly, you’d think I could have some time to myself, living in a sewer and all. I suppose when you’re part of an elite evolutionary group, you’re expected to live under close-knit societal guidelines. That or kick the dissenting parties’ butts with your bō staff. Either or.

I might have to go to Master Splinter for guidance on this issue, because I don’t know what to do anymore. My brothers are driving me nuts! Just yesterday, Raphael stomped into my lab and threw a fit, yelling something about the Retro Catapult malfunctioning and flinging garbage all over him. I’m not sure what he was so angry about – that particular invention is still in the beta stage. I haven’t worked out all the bugs, yet!

Thankfully, Leonardo hasn’t given me too large a headache. He tends to stay out of my lab when I’m experimenting. (He says it’s because he doesn’t want to, “get caught in the explosion,” whatever that means.) I’m glad he’s been leaving me alone for the past few days. When Leo decides to visit, he tends to offer advice on anything and everything. No matter what I’m doing or what materials I’m working with, Leo always seems to know how to make an “improvement.” I understand that he means well, but I think I know a bit more about combustion and thermal discharge, thank-you-very-much.

No matter the hardships I face, I have to continue my experiments. I can’t lose sight of what’s important. While some individuals might find my current study “unnecessary” or “totally lame”, as a certain party has put it, I can’t allow myself to lose track of my goal. I won’t have Michelangelo outmaneuvering me in my own chosen profession. I will find the combination for the most mouth-watering, hunger-inducing, and sensory-satisfying pizza found in this or any other universe. Bar none.

(Besides, it’s not like I could do any worse than some of Mikey’s more creative creations. Anything would be better than that “Peanut Butter and Clams” abomination that was forced upon us last week. Just the sight of that pizza had me feeling ill for days.)
