My family lives in the most treacherous area of the Old World, known as the Southern Badlands. We were taught at a very young age to fear the unknown which patrolled the borders, outside of our city. Nothing good ever came to those who ventured outside the walls of our settlement.
As a young child, trying to sleep at night, I would hear blood curdling screams echoing across our wooden compounds. Unrelenting armies of the undead, or large scale raids by the Dark Elf preyed upon our people for full occupation of all lands. The nights were long and possible invasions were always expected.
As the years went by, I grew restless of the confines which limited my growth. I had made friends with one of the Dwarfs we traded goods with over the years. He agreed to help me escape to a place recently discovered, called The New World. It took us many, many attempts to cross the Great Ocean to the west of our colony. You could not imagine the hordes of flesh-eaters, criminals and pirates we had to bypass to arrive here safely!
Ah, alas we have made it to Subeta. Our safe haven, far from the annals of death and destruction. For once, I see sunshine, where only black skies and the smell of gunpowder once prevailed. No more fear of being kidnapped or eaten alive. Now I live in harmony with many other residents of this new and prosperous colony. Dont give up the struggle! You can always improve your existence, if you just take the risk.
