A large, heavy set raccoon dog wearing a large straw hat and beads around it's neck that couldn't weigh less than 20 pounds, slowly trudges towards you.
His steps keep pace with his lyrical chant and his body sways in a sort of hypnotic performance.
His deep voice booms like a drum, and bells atop the wares he carries across his back chime in rhythm with every step.

🎵 Pon-poko-pon! Come one, come all!
This humble tanuki merchant calls!
With treasures fine from forest deep,
And prices that will make you weep!

Bamboo leaves that never wilt,
Lucky coins of finest gilt,
Sake cups that never empty,
Fish that swim in abundance plenty!

Pon-poko-pon! Don't walk away!
These wares won't last another day!
My furry belly bounces free,
When you buy from little me!

Wisdom scrolls and magic charms,
To keep you safe from worldly harms,
But if you doubt what I have sold...
Well, some tricks are new, some tricks are old!

Pon-poko-pon! One final chance!
To join my merchant's merry dance!
For I'm just a simple tanuki,
Who definitely won't bamboozle ye! 🎵
