An Angel

It doesn't matter if his name was Uriel or not, it's what the humans call him so it's his name now he supposes.

He's not sure if he's a "he" to begin with but then again, the humans must know. They know everything about him.

He vaguely remembers the night they found him but that's ok he's heard the story multiple times, some parts vary but it's overall the same. It was raining. He fell. He can't remember falling but the humans said he fell and they know him more than he knows himself.

They know the lenght of his wings, the cells his nails, the hair on his head, the strength of his tail, His teeth's and food he prefers. There is not one corner of him that hasn't been thoroughly recorded. He doesn't think to hard about it. He's rarely intune with his emotions now a days but thinking about it leaves him with an ugly sensation. He'd like to think that feeling something besides emptiness would be welcomed but anger and no outlet leaves him tired. That's another emotion he experiences often, tiredness.

He does remember how eager the humans were to teach him their language. Do they regret it now? That he can understand them? Do they care he can understand them? He was treated with awe and care before; a new christmas toy, shiny and sparkly until they grew tired of playing with him.
