Then some humans found me
The only one alive
Curled up by my mommy

They took me in and fed me
Raised me to be strong
I became a big kitty
But something about me was...wrong


Paranoid and scared
Anxious and shy
There was so much I feared
Potential families passed me by


One day some people came to see me
I didn't pay them much mind
Until they pushed me into a carrier
That day I left my old life behind


I have a home now
And a friend to ease my fears
Someone to keep me calm
And to scratch behind my ears


If not for her, I wouldn't be here
She gave me a home to call my own
