I find it harder and harder to a god these days. Don't get me wrong, it's not mankind; well, it's not them entirely. I still think fondly of them, despite their absentmindedness, in a nostalgic way; often I think back to their earlier days, when they build ships and were so excited when they found a new island or saw a new species of animal.

Those days are gone though, many of the species are gone as well, and I feel I am left with the memories of a time long past and the destruction that came with their evolution. We did try and guide them, the best we could, without showing up in a display of fire and brimstone; humans have never handled that very well, no, but we did try a more natural approach with no avail. Sure it worked at first, hurricanes and volcanos and the likes, but as time went on the message was lost in translation.

Now, I am just left with litter coated beaches and the dying coral reefs; my poor reefs, I feel as if I have let them down. There is at least a tiny flicker of optimism, some humans have finally taken notice and seem to be trying to make it right. I hope they're successful; for my own selfish reasons, mostly, though I do enjoy watching them when they succeed.
