Sometimes, poetry seems to be the only respite from a rose-tinted world. Grim worlds weaved with words; solemn men so frightened of death they retreat into black houses never to be seen again; stricken women pining for knights in shining armour, deteriorating of broken hearts; gruesome deaths or lives more disheartening than any last breath could ever hope to be. In poetry, Poesie finds it all.

Some may find it odd that a creature of such sweet nature could find solace in such bleak verses. Many see Poesie as a bit quiet but mostly very cordial, and not one to mope about. And then they catch her with her nose in a book and grin amongst themselves. 'Always reading, that one,' they'll murmur, unaware of the man with the still-beating heart beneath his floorboards on the pages of Poesie's book. She likes it that way. If anyone asks, she'll tell them in her soft, dulcet tone: 'just a bit of poetry, that's all,' with a secret little smile. 'Just a bit of poetry.'
